I've been a driver since 97. Basically your camping for a living so a fridge and microwave is needed you can't live off truck stop food and McDonald's. The Garmin is a great nav I'll agree. The signal booster I haven't tried but from what I know about boosting signals it's not the greatest experience. The biggest problem with 4g is congestion at truck stops when everyone is online your speed drops to almost nothing.

I just bought a BlueParrot B350XT a couple weeks ago. I love it, and the audio is amazing to me, especially considering I have trouble hearing sometimes.

Take your fucking headset off and drive. You aren’t on vacation driving a 40 ton truck. Every fucking time a truck driver does something stupid in front of me they are wearing the headset. If you have to talk to somebody so much, you have the wrong fucking job. I swear to god if I ever find out I only have a few months to live you head set wearing fucks better watch out. You have 10 hours plus half hour plus sitting at shipper/receivers to talk to your bitch at home that probably is getting butt fucked by 3 guys and doesn’t want to hear from you anyways. No, your kids don’t care about you either because a real parent isn’t gone for weeks at a time.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY WEBOOST 4G-X cellular booster!!!!!!! There are still dead spots where there just isn’t ANY SIGNAL but it works very well. Your gonna pay about $500 for it though.

Hey everyone long time trucker. One of my favorite gadgets in my truck and at home is the Belkin Miracast video adapter. If you do not have have a smart tv but have a tv with usb and HDMI you can Mira whatever content that's on your phone to tv without the need of internet. The wifi on your phone or tablet connects to the device that stays on back of tv powered by usb. Phone companies now have unlimited data but put caps on mobile hotspot (This uses wifi not hotspot) .You can watch any content you can put on your phone's memory card or play store Netflix Hulu NFL tv and streaming apps whatever. Side note for those with time ..downsize movies on your pc free with Handbrake and blue tooth to your radio for movies in surround sound

reverse thrust , they have 2 plans they call unlimited, I pay for most expensive- the streaming unlimited plan since it was available have not had any problems except in high volume areas it slows down , even then I can you tube and watch movies and tv shows off Google play Netflix and others. At 58.3 gb little over half way through pay period.

Bradley Proulx I use the google chrome cast for my non smart TV, not bad so far. Only thing not good is that between Netflix and Amazon video I can't find anything new to watch anymore lol

Would you like information or ideas for the following driving OTR. 1. An item to lock the door from the inside of the truck cab so no one can jimmy it from the outside while sleeping. 2. Cameral on the outside for security and backing up motion activated for security. Watch the fuel caps, Reefers and such. 3. Would a electrical metal flex conduit over the brake hoses by the cab be placed over the lines to prevent being cut by protestors? 4. Personal Protection (Short of a gun) ideas? Expandable baton in the bag to do laundry or take a shower? OCAT Spray with a chemical that is sprayed too that is detected with ultra violet light. BB gun pistol automatic with CO2 cartridge? 5. I like the idea of the containers but prefer a straw as I do not want to block my view with the container.

2:12 lol ! I've been to that flying j in Salt Lake ! I have the Dezl, but one gripe I have is it doesn't recognize a lot of Loves travel plazas, or Wal-Mart's. It also takes me off I-25 in Denver, at Speer Blvd, then routes back onto I-25. Also announced crossing state boarder on I -15 in Idaho, 36 miles after crossing. Tried updating the unit, but indications are its fully updated !? WTF ?? I have the Blue Parrot headset, had to glue the earpiece foampad on, but great unit otherwise. We have several Hydroflasks, they are awesome.

I would suggest anyone setting up the cell phone booster in your truck, to mount both antennas outside the truck.

Microwave RF at these power levels play fine. They're totally incapable of causing harm.
Should have also stated that although a GPS is a great tool for OTR drivers, but they shouldn't completely rely on them! Many drivers have found this out the hard way, learn to use a map, and your cell phone, call the shipper/receiver
And 9 times out of 10 those drivers are using their cellphones which is not set up for tractor trailer that is why it's always important to buy a good reliable rand mcnally that is made for tractor trailer

Jorel Byssainthe I’ve had to call shippers and cosignees to get directions. Just today was blocked by a automated gate. Nothing wrong with gps just happens.
That Hydro Flask won't fit in cup holders unless you want to have it on the floor which is problematic.
I do keep mine on the floor. I've changed the lid to a sip lid, because all you get is a face full of water if you try and drink with the original lid. They make different sizes that will fit in a cup holder though. I use the large one because I'm out of the truck working more than in it.

Good old trucking days , no short-shorts , flip-flops , or wrap-around cowboy hats .
I use a cheap 30$ bluetooth earpiece from Walmart for calls, it works great lasts 11hrs fully charged takes only 1/2 hr to fully charge and it doesn't cost much so if i loose it or break it im not to worried about it
That means nobody likes to talk to you on the phone because they won't be able to understand you and the background noise will irritate them too. I hated calling my friend or answering him because he had bought a cheap Bluetooth headset.
Myone20 truck navigation is a free app available on android and ISO. It blows all the others out of the water even the paid units

sorry, had a garmin gps for less than months, changed to randmcnally, totally worth the switch, kept being routed through clearly visible non truck routes on garmin, never with mcnally unless i force it to, not even on recalculations. and hydroflask?! =-= i would rather get a 12 volt cooler, will be more helpful than a flask or liquid.

Some of those items are of debatable worth, but those inverters are not. That company makes junk inverters. Even if/when you get a functioning unit, it'll destroy your appliances. Powerdrive makes modified sine wave inverters. Delicate electronics will quickly fail, & even simple appliances will be short-lived. Anyone new to trucking, be advised. Only buy a pure sine inverter, & only from a reputable manufacturer. Otherwise, don't cry when your fridge, laptop, & TV all die after a year or less...
I think what is needed is a quality Monster Grounder Surge Protector for 'Clean Power', to work in conjunction with the inverter for the safety of your electronics and their longevity.
Forget the truckstop Power inverters Go to walmart.com and get a 5000 Watt Cobra power inverter For around a $170
Ken I have been using the power drive 1500 watt inverter for about 7-8 years now. My first one blew up after only 3 months use but the one I have now I’ve been using ever since... no problems. However I also have another new one in my truck still sealed in the box juuuust in case! LOL

frequently warns "Truck Accessibility Unknown" on roads that Truck stops, dealers, repair shops, DC's and terminals are on!
What's Ahead feature from map doesn't identify upcoming truck facilities or rest areas and lists Ag check stations as weigh stations in FL.
Locations of weigh stations and Ag check stations are usually not accurate.
Bridge weight limits and locations are not accurate either.
Speed limit listings on current road are also typically inaccurate.
Therefore truck routing sucks!
That headset sucks ass. Randomly gets a very loud high pitched squeel. The only way to get it to stop is to plug it in to turn it off. After a dozen times of this happening I tossed it out the window.

Don't buy a solid state Uniden CB, like in this vid. They're almost completely untuneable. There are very good reasons we run Cobras or mod'd 10-meters.
Cbs are to find out what's going on with traffic, otherwise cell phones have killed the CB
A cobra 29 nightwach -29 wx nw st weatherband / soundtracker. Its what I call a lifetime radio. Turn it up and run an external antenna on a bolt/birdpirch mount. Then when you're rich, buy a Galaxy (10 meter) and have it converted to am or get a ham liscence and keep both upper and lowers.
