If you don’t want to evacuate for every hurricane or have really high insurance rates and maintenance costs pick someplace further inland. I live in a great community, a few miles from the beach. These picks are all the same. When I moved from the Chicago area I eliminated all those areas for the mentioned reasons and I’m really glad I did.

Are the majority of the properties on the island, including Merritt Island, on septic systems?

No, the majority are not. If the home is on a half acre or more, then they will generally be on septic systems. Thanks for watching. Let me know if I can assist you.

What do you have to say about the huge number of beggars in Melbourne and surrounding areas? The city used to be a paradise, now it is more like California 🥴🥴🥴nightmare

Thanks for watching and your comments. I feel bad for those that have to resort to begging, unfortunately it seems to be in many areas across the US. I am driving around the Melbourne area all of the time, but I dont see much of it myself.

We just visited Melbourne; we didn’t see even one homeless. Now, go visit South FL; especially West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Wow! So many homeless! 😳😱

Thank Mayor Paul Alfrey. That and other things. One problem is the soup kitchen in the area. You don’t put soup kitchens where people shop and work. This is city planning 101. These people don’t understand zoning or city planning. They are driving businesses from the downtown Melbourne area.
