One of my favorite songs and reminds us that God never will leave or forsake us even in the darkest storms of life. The promise of the dove that the storm has passed is truly wonderful.
I had a patient who would sit and sing this song all through his therapy sessions. He was young and I was surprised he would belt out this tune. He always brought smiles to people's faces and lifted their spirits.
I remember as a child going to restaurants with my daddy and he gave me money to play this song. Always brings a tear to my eyes when I hear it. A wonderful memory of my daddy.
God bless the production of this beautiful Hymn! It's a song that I had together with a former client I used to take care of in her home. It would help her to calm when going through times of trial. I now visit her as a friend in the nursing home where she lives. A friend of mine put it on CD so she can listen to it and a couple of other hymns when the nurses or her family put it on for her. She usually smiles when it's playing!
In 1991, I had the pleasure of joining Ferlin Husky, George Hamilton IV, Leroy Van Dyke, Melba Montgomery, and my old, and close friend, Dick Curless in Washington on their Country Gold Tour. I had the most fun talking and socializing with all of these famous Country Music icons for several days. All are down to earth people. Ferlin just had heart surgery at this time and even though it was hard on him, he performed like the trouper he was. Also, Sheb Wooley was part of this Country Gold tour and as I said, they were/are the salt of the earth. Some are gone now and may they all rest in peace. It was an honor for this retired cop to befriend such gracious people.

He, God knew some of us needed a sign. Two times in man's history, a dove like salvation was provided. I hope he will provide a dove like to Mankind again in 2024, 2024, to remind us that salvation is near.
Never seen anyone but maybe the players dressed in all white? Maybe he was cold & that's the jacket that was handy but anyway who cares what he happens to be wearing? Just close your eyes & listen to the beautiful song✝️
