  • So... What do you all think? Am I just going crazy?! Or this this an actual issue with the team moving on from an unfinished version?!
All the best, and as always... Happy Landings!

Henry....I don't know how long you have been flight simming...I just stumbled across the channel looking for MSFS2024 info...BUT,
At least we will get four years from 2020....the old Aces model was every 2 years....since basically the beginning of Flight sims...And, with the old FS, we would get maybe 1 bugfix update before they were moving on the next version.
Personally, I think MSFS 2020 was incredible for a first try. Heck, how many versions of Xplane or Prepared 3d have we gotten in the last 10 years? At least 5 on P3D, and its a full purchase on every major upgrade right?
    PS I did subscribe :)

Lots of great comments, all! Thanks for staying civil and saying some excellent points on both sides :)

mybiggest thing with msfs2020 is the graphical degredation, if they cant fix that how do we know they fixed it in the new one

if you read the FAQ, it's states it's a new game... addons will be transferable. MSFS2020 will be supported for 10 years from release. I get MSFS with Game Pass so its not a cash grab for me as MSFS2024 is included in Game Pass.

    No different than
FS98, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004, FSX Cycle. MSFS simply joins / continues that release cycle.
    Or
    P3D
v3, v4, v5, Same engine with improvements in between that you need to pay $60 each.
Not mad at it at all especially considering the content ASOBO has provided.
Compared to other platforms. MSFS users got a whole lot more for the FS2020 base price. Purchased P3D and xplane versions and not once got additional content after release.
With MSFS, we got a lot of free handcrafted airports. 3D modelled points of interests and Planes.
If Asobo continues being generous with content. I am absolutely fine with this business model rather than endless paid DLCs
What's the bet on the Beluga in the trailer being the inibuilds Beluga? My bets pretty high considering the a310. That for free? Plus other new planes? Count me in!

What graphics card will it require ?
    I'm 100% in agreement with you - it's a money grab.
2020 is just beginning to come into it's own.
They should put the work into Skyrim VI 😂

I don't care if it's a new game because Asobo and Microsoft isn't a charity. If asobo hit a wall with fs2020 in terms of engines and performance I don't care if they decided to start new to take advantage of multi core performance, etc. I hope that is what is happening and this sim will have a far superior sim to fs2020.
