This cause is so important, it's amazing that people stand up for this. I wish I lived in the Uk and that I could sign the petition, but unfortunately I don't.. It's not okay that horses are treated like this, whatever country we're in doesn't matter. I wish World Horse Welfare all the best and luck! I truly hope this protest will be heard, not just in the Uk, but throughout the entirety of Europe!
This is incredible, I am so against horse slaughtering, I have been since I was little. It’s so horrific that people choose to slaughter such amazing animals just because they are either sick or too old. Thank you Esme for helping stop this. 💗💗🐴🐴

Thank you sharing this worthy effort. Wishing for successful passage of this bill. We need something like this in the United States as exporting equines for slaughter is routine and heartbreaking. Many volunteers and rescuers work tirelessly to intercept those they can, but things won't change without legislation. I myself have one slaughter rescue and one intercepted at auction and I love them so much. There are so many stories...

This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen, I wish I could have been there on my own pony, I would have felt so bold, this almost bought tears to my eyes it was such an amazing act, the police stopping traffic for YOU and the people around you.
I’m glad someone in the Metropolitan Police agrees with this cause, because it’s an important one that reflects the values of Britain.

I’ve signed the petition and sent it to my friends, even non-horsey ones and they’ve all signed it. It’s truly awful knowing this has been going on for so long, thank you for doing this Esme ❤
(Edit) In the woods near where I live, there’s 3 horses that have been abandoned, one’s a foal. People come round and feed them gosh knows what because they’re just on a public footpath. They tend to be relaxed and are really lovely, one has a massive wind knot in her mane. They’re hooves are massively overgrown and I’ve been in contact with the RSPCA and they said as long as they have food and water, they won’t do anything. These aren’t the first horses to have been left there- they’re mistreated massively and their field is not in a good state at all, I don’t suppose you know what I could do?
you could actually contact World Horse Welfare who will send out a field officer to check on their condition
Gosh, that’s awful. Some people treat horses awfully, how could they bring themselves to do that?
@@ThisEsMe Thank you so much- I’ll get to it right away, the sad part is that what we know of the foal is there’s a high possibility it’s inbred, so I hope they can help. Thank you so so much I really hope they can be rescued.
@@ur_local_equestrian_flickr2536 it’s utterly sick of them. We suspect that they’re kept in the fields with even their own brothers and sisters, not Gelded or anything and when they feel necessary, they’re taken away and sold off. This is the fourth batch of them, they’re foal is most likely inbred as one of the horses who we named Carwyn, was Angharads foal- without any other horses in the field and Carwyn not being gelded, that means the current foal is most likely the offspring between mother and son.

Amazing protest for the horses. Here in America I support many groups to help change laws that would prevent horses shipped to Mexico for slaughter. My personal horse was about to be shipped for slaughter and a rescue saved her. She is a wonderful smart horse and I am doing everything to have her live her best life.

This was such an amazing protest! Hopefully we won’t need to protest anymore for this and parliament will listen to our voices now🤞But, if we do maybe signs to hold while riding could be a good idea as it’s kind of the same concept as jousting. I’m also hoping I can start riding soon as I’ve loved horses ever since I was younger 😅❤

However our country has reduced the kg price with 58% and are yearly reduces this % to try stop unnecessary slaughter, love what you do. More equestrians that have a voice need to speak up soon about this type of market!!❤️
