Such a great song from Oasis, and I love Liam's voice. This is classic Oasis, they had some great songs, other favourites are 'Supersonic', 'Lyla', 'D'You Know What I Mean' and 'Champagne Supernova', to name but a few! Thanks so much for your reaction, guys, always interesting, especially what you said about rock music. I grew up with classic rock music in the 1960s/1970s, I've always loved it, so many great bands in these decades as you know! Oasis came later for me (they formed in 1991) but they were an amazing band with some fantastic songs. Take care now, guys and all the best. 😊👍

Oasis' instrumentals and Liam's unique vocals are such a perfect blend. I'm glad the Bros are rediscovering this band that was mostly overlooked in their youth.
Also, I might be in the minority, but I actually enjoy it when the Bros wax philosophical with these short detours (be they topically music or otherwise) away from strictly a commentary on the topic song.
It feels less like a structured reaction and more like a relaxed yet interesting conversation, happening organically, and reinforces how great music can prompt such diverse thought processes.
    I really dig that!

Thank you so much for doing this reaction! You won't ever find a bad Oasis song, they were the greatest. Some Might Say, Gas Panic, Champagne Supernova, Songbird, D'you Know What I Mean, Slide Away & Fade In Out are some of my favorites. Fade In Out live at Gmex in 1997 is my favorite performance of theirs. As good as they were, they were even better live.

Hey guys, you should react to "some might say", "slide away" or "my big mouth", but have to be the live versions in knebworth 1996, it's just amazing, the band was on his best

Great reactions guys. Speaking as someone who was 20 when Oasis hit the big time, and is from the same part of the UK as them, it's amazing to see the next generation from all over the world - like you guys - really appreciating what meant so much to us then.
Never underestimate the power of radio back then - yes, we heard tunes in clubs before the internet, but I for one heard most of the new stuff coming up at the time by having the radio on in the background.
This doesn't happen nearly so much anymore, everyone is in their own private little smartphone world.

So much going on in this song! Such a big, layered sound. You are so right - it sounds 90's but also really modern. "Champagne Supernova" is very famous. For some Aerosmith classic rock, try "Nobody's Fault". Interesting reaction guys. Thanks!!

I don’t know why I can’t make a general comment but I was born in 70’. I’m American. Oasis is one of my top 3 bands. It’s simple but Noel’s songwriting is universal. That’s what the guys were trying to say about it being “fresh”. Noel writes rock/pop based tunes w universal lyrics and that equals classic rock. Add Liam’s vocals and attitude and it’s a winning combo, especially in the 90’s. I was lucky enough to see them 3x. This American gets it!

Boys, they are not the kind of band that grabs u right off the bat but the more u listen the more they’ll get into your soul. Noel’s songwriting genius w Liam’s vocals and attitude makes them a great band, especially in the 90’s. I was born in 70’ and have a HUGE record collection. Oasis’ music is about melody and the way it makes u feel. They don’t hit u like Guns N Roses or something. It’s much more subtle but just as good once u understand Noel’s songwriting. He is the best songwriter of my generation and that’s quite a statement but to me, his groove, feel, touch and ear for music sets him apart from the rest of the 90’s bands, including Kurt Cobain. I enjoy Noel’s positive/uplifting lyrics more than almost any other band. He writes about “universal truths” and u can apply your own meaning to almost every song. U have a wild ride ahead. You’ve got literally 30+ more great songs ahead. Do live versions from the 90’s. They brought so much energy live. We love the reactions.

When I was 13 years old, I spent a summer away from my hometown, where I was out of my mind with boredom, and stayed at mi grandmother’s place where I was more or less given all the freedom in the world. She was utterly unsuspicious of me, unlike my folks, so I could spend all day drunk (filling a bicycle water bottle with vodka , gin, and tonic water) and lying in a field with a CD boombox, this record (which was released the previous year) and the girl I’d met the week before. She was 15, and was floating around in her bikini in her backyard pool. I was plodding through the creek that ran below her property, fly-fishing and smoking a joint. She spotted me and shouted for me to come over and give her a toke on the joint, which I was more than happy to do. She was a gorgeous little thing, full of attitude; she made me laugh-she thought I was 17 (early puberty, so moustache + goatee @13). After she finished the joint I asked her if I could have a cool-off in her pool, so in I went, in just mi Jockey shorts, and we chatted for a bit until the brightest bit of the day had passed. We made plans, and I went home, ate a fantastic supper, then met ‘er at the top of an immense hill-crowned with the town’s water tower-from which one could see the entire town and surrounding area. I brought a rucksack with a blanket, the bike bottle full of booze, a couple packets of cigarettes, some cassettes and CDs, and in mi hand, the boom box. We lay in the grass and listened to this record probably three times in a row that night whilst we were snogging like
well, exactly like horny teenagers. We did the same thing every day after that for probably the next two weeks, though we also paid secret visits to one another’s houses when there were no adults around, so we could have sex. Every time I hear this song (and a few others from this record, like ‘Slide Away’, ‘Columbia’, “Supersonic’, and ‘Bring It On Down’, I am reminded of that summer, and that skinny =, pretty chick with her sun-tanned, flat stomach and slightly visible hipbones, her wild, wavy hair that had a mind of its own, her little smirk and eyes that danced with laughter when she’d tease me about my age, and tell me I was havin her on, because no way in HELL was I younger than she. Ah the glorious memories of youth, in a more innocent time, when guys and chicks weren’t brought up to believe we were natural enemies, and anything was possible if you wanted it badly enough.

A little bit of advice, based on my own personal opinion so take it with a pinch of salt. But if you're going to start heading down the Oasis rabbit hole & you want to find their best stuff, avoid most songs that made it big in the charts. That's a watered down Oasis that tried to cater to the pop chart scene a bit. Their B sides & covers are when you really see them raise the roof. EDIT: When I said avoid the chart topping stuff, don't include 'Don't Look Back In Anger' in that statement. That's a choooon!
