One custom addition I would add, a clear plastic ball with the bottom removed to cover the droideka to represent an active shield.
Also, creating terrain to make tabletop boards of classic Battlefront maps... by god am I gonna be busy.

I have been in the same position- interested in the SW Legion game but no interest in the rebel v storm set. Now with the droids. This really stirs the beast in me. :D Your video has woken it, let's see if the future content will spur it into action.

I'm so happy to see some Star Wars Legion content on your channel. I'm super excited for The Clone Wars coreset, more so than the Empire vs Rebels one because I already had the Imperial Assault coreset so that was a bit redundant. I can't wait to see the videos you've planned for us in the future !

Well I have also been waiting for the clone wars period. Loved watching the clone wars series growing up and when I heard of the new core set I arranged with the local group a split up. Personally I'll be painting the clones as 212th and the 501st. Looking forward to this game!!
Thanks dude! I'm running mine as 501st too! This core set will be Gen one from Geonosis, then when the Gen 2 troopers come out I'll paint them up as gen 2 501st 😊
@@Zorpazorp amazing!!! You could paint the clone commanders with green stripes to represent sergeants or bright blue to represent lieutenants. There are also Captains in red and commanders in yellow!! Might be interesting options for the phase 1 armour. I hope they release a phase 2 Rex/arc trooper!!

Some SW scenario's would be great, just hope that they are "Story" based. Nearly all replays I have seen just line up one army against another. Gets a bit boring after a while.

As a complete nerd, I believe the gun you referred to as the "e11", is actually the "dl-19x" (I think) the e11 is the default stormtrooper blaster

I love Star Wars Legion, but to be nit picky with one of your comments.... its not technically FFG's first foray into miniatures wargaming sets. They used to do DUST a few years ago, before it left FFG and imploded. Not wanting to end on that sort of negative, I loved your very thematic SW Legion video and cant wait for more in that series.

Is it a full rulebook that comes with this set? It wasn't in the last one, it was just a basic learn to play thing. The full rulebook was only online.
Clone Wars is the main reason I'm looking at the game again. Wasn't a big fan of the launch releases, thought the models were mediocre. This definitely had my interested piqued though!
Exactly the same for me dude, the original sculpts were just too soft when you're used to the plastic crack of Games Workshop and other systems.
It's definitely omitted some stuff which you need to find on line but it covers the fundamentals from what I can tell so far :)
I will create a Star Wars battlefield out of my Star Trek dvd sets.

Kind of disappointing that the clones don't have anywhere near the same amount of customization options that the droids do. Guess I'll have to main the droids lol.

Is this set's assembly beginner friendly? I saw this in a local games store and wanna use them both for Legion and SW5E, but I have never assembled minis before.

It's actually a pretty inexpensive system to get into as far as Wargaming goes! Check out the core set for great value :D

Legion is bigger, LOTR is 28mm true scale where legion is closer to 30mm ')

i think the real question is: how much detail do you actually need for it to be a great model? I think while Games Workshop has an edge in it's complexity; I feel these strike a nice tone of being "good enough." I brought Lando just today and he looks just nice.
Hey Legion models are definitely good enough :) Really happy with their models, just not happy with their disastrous parent company

Zorpazorp yes, i think you’d like it, the combat system is really unique. You assign your attack and defense in secret before rolling. Makes for some really strategic thinking. Should I go all out in attack and risk taking more damage or go defensively

FFG managed to fuck up cardboard royally with outer rim. The cards AND the playerboards were extremely bent...FFG under Asmodee isn't what it once was.
Asmodee are an utter blight unfortunately.
@@Zorpazorp That sums it up pretty well. I don't know about FFG themselves but the German company that did the localisations of FFG was bought up as well, and from what I have gathered so far it must be hell to work for them. Extremely short deadlines, bad pay, lots of overtime and a lots of personal turnover.

Games workshop isn’t the best. I’d you want amazing models try tamyia their even way cheaper then GW
Tamiya have some nice stuff too! But the new plastic injections ranges from GW in the past 12 months like the Sisters or the new marines, are ahead of the pack.
If we are comparing the best of each range GW takes the cake. But they also have a lot of models that are 20 years old haha
