This was a painfull match for us Norwegians. Congrats to Slovakia for all 3 points. Team Norway might have been tired from the previous game. However the effort was a mess. Even with a fully rested team, we would still get trashed. A lot of missunderstandings, a lot of tendencies with poor chemestry. We looked like a band without practice. Individuals with potensial, but they are playing the wrong instruments, they struggle to work together as a group, there was no rhythm and the melody was all out of key. The worst part is that they have practiced, but on the wrong things, so that results to all that time spend became a waste of time. This is Norwegian hockey in a nuttshell!! These two teams has played each other before, and the games have been a lot more even, and ironically the lines were very different (and they had better function). Slovakia played with more familiar tactics and they took advantage to show a team with more familiarty and chemestry. Norwegian players needs to take some responsibility for the poor performance, but I also think the coaches should take even more of the blame for overcomplicating their strategy. They were lucky vs Canada in the last pre-game, and they were lucky vs Latvia yesterday. This game was a huge dose of karma. I knew yesterday was too good to be true. I was proud and happy, but I knew that the same strategy would not work again. What I diddn't expect was that Slovakia was given authority to score 11 goals. We also allowed Slovakia to have 59 shots, and the Norwegians only manged 13. Slovakia almost had as many goals as we had shots on target 😂 I don't understand why we Norwegians have to make random and unfamiliar lines when we are playing important tournament games, but we use almost a specific strategy and have a repeated style in exhibition matches. Isn't it more logical to have an opposite approach? What's the point of exhibition camps or games if you're not gonna use anything from it? Why are we ignoring good elements, and using useless ones? For example I've seen Mikkel Eriksen and Niklas Aaram Olsen play together for both U-16 and U-18 teams for a couple of years (including Vålerenga, Örebro and Norway U-16 and U-18). They even played together in some of the pre-tournament games, but we haven't seen them once in the entire WC. They will most likley play together next year also. Why are we not prioritising them to improve for the future? Why are we not giving them more ice time together? Why are they in the same roster if they are not playing together? What are we waiting for? I feel this happens every year, no matter the age group or gender. I just hope one day we get to see a Norwegian team with 4 funcioning lines. Just for one game please.
That was an awful performance by Norway, the goaltending and the defence were missing the whole game it seems. More than half the goals should have been stopped if they had any decent goaltending in the game
This is hands down the worst performance i have ever seen by any Norwegian team in the wc. All cred to Slovakia but they are not double digits goals better than this u18 Norway team there are no excuses but this is a toally mental breakdown the norwegians did not not show up today their legs and feet and bodys were in the hockey rink , but their minds and heads were somewhere else they should be ashamed were is the pride were is the fight and guts they showed yesterday nowhere to be seen.
@@jozefmasny8349 Sure ,but here is the problem Latvia also played 2 games back to back and had no rest before the Norway game , but in difference they atleast managed to make a game out of it at the end they played with pride and guts and determination. Sure the norwegian werent able to reset after the Latvia game , but still there are no excuses thursday morning we have one last chance to show that we want to stay at this level i hope the boys take it.
