    I have a suggestion to clear that track if they get the Gravely Tractor with a double blade in the front and hook up a trailer on the back with extra fuel cans we can get the job done I would be happy to ride in that tractor I'll be happy to do it if given the opportunity

    its too bad that a speeder group couldn't get permission to ride the OOS track ... they would more than happy to cut the brush back and keep the line cleared ! luv the videos !!!

      Many speeder groups do not have the financial resources to have enough liability insurance to offer trips. I agree, it's a shame it's not leased out to them on a short term basis, but there's a lot more involved than just cutting brush and putting a speeder on that section of track.

      @@TrainMike2013 From what I've heard, most speeder groups don't take on paying customers, they only use the speeders for their own enjoyment because of the liability concerns.

    We had a speeder group down here in Southwest Florida I would see them traveling down to track from time to time. One guy had an accident one time and he sued the railroad. Another reason why speeder clubs are not allowed on Railroad property. It was his own fault but he sued the railroad anyway.

    • @zaklex3165
      @zaklex3165 Před 2 lety +1

      That's easily remedied in a speeder clubs own by-laws, you simply make each speeder owner responsible for their own safety, indemnifying the rail property from legal action...anyone that refuses the abide by the by-laws is removed from the club and not allowed to operate with the group.

    That line ends near the center of Millis. Years ago their was an incident kids released the brakes and a car rolled into town blocking a road. The old road grade goes through Medway, north Franklin and into Bellingham. I live near it and enjoyed walking, now its cut up with houses and back yards.

    South Coast Rail, great video. I hope Bay Colony Mills, adds a second track, or add a third track, that 's what makes a great railroad. The old station could a make over, as a tower to monitor trains going back and fourth.

    Is the Mills railroad station used for anything? Nice structure. On the GAF facility, there were rumors that something was going to move in there and provide business of the Bay Colony...haven't heard much recently. Overall, nice production.

      I do not know the station’s current use but I believe it may be a library or part of the historical society. I’ll have to look into it more.

      False, MBTA does not plan to use this line. The current plans are freight only but depend on if new customers or the current customer decides to use rail more often.

    Looks dead to me. They even let the locomotive sit in the woods for the vandals to ravage it. No way they could even do anything if they wanted, given the state of things.
