Lovely person. I resonate with not using words like 'fight' or ' battle'. Though it may feel terrible to go through cancer treatments and one always hopes to be cured. To live and thrive and love is so much more uplifting and humble. Each day is a gift and even fighters only have the days they are given and only that. Whether fight or treat and love, we are just fortunate to be here. Bless you Olivia, you're work has given me the privilege of your light shining. Shine on some more please.

I've been a fan since your album, "Have You Never Been Mellow", Grease, and Xanadu. When I think of Olivia, I'm reminded of a childhood song from the Flintstones and these lyrics: "So let the sunshine in, face it with a grin, smilers never lose and frowners never win."

She’s such an inspiration,my brother in law has cancer and my best friend who’s also my next door neighbor who’s been told she has cancer and I’m heart broken because these amazing people in my life my brother and my best friend would do anything for anyone,they are fighting but I feel helpless that I can’t do anything if I could take it away from them I would Olivia Newton John has an amazing outlook on it you may have cancer but it’s not stopping her we should all have this mindset because your body does react to how your mind feels it’s true ❤️
I cannot wait to see her movie I grew up loving her voice, her beauty, her. acting , her pure innocent appeal. I would have loved to see her do more movies and music beyond the 80's like Travolta!!! She was never replaced and Has brought so much Joy and entertainment to millions around the world. She will always be "Sandy " from the movie "Grease" too me which in my opinion.is her greatest musical and acting work to date .
Olivia, you are a wonder and an inspiration. I recently went through what you are while waiting for a lung transplant. We waited for year 3 then got to the point of taking myself off the list and passing with grace and on my own terms. The next day, i recieved the call.

I used to sit at the library and with headphones on ,listen to her song's. I thought she was pretty but fell in love with her singing voice. Now as an adult I can watch interviews of her and see a different side to her. I never knew as a child. I think she is the most classy woman I've never met ,but with so much admiration and respect I have for this woman. Get better and I pray your not in any pain! Thank you for your talents and inspirations!!!
All the hype that she was on her last breath came at a time when I had my mammogram. And they called me in for another. Then an ultrasound. I was really nervous!
Whatever was happening to me, I hoped they'd figure it out. This was in January. Just last week I got word I am okay. But it's all a reminder for women to get checked regularly if possible. I'm 51 and my mammograms are once a year.
How is it a reminder? The fact that her cancer keeps coming back is an argument people use against the uselessness of mammograms.

It hurt last year when I was an A cup and had my very first. This year I was almost a C cup and it went smoother. It's breast growth that hurts.
Same here. I'm also 51. I had a mammogram come back some months back as needing an ultrasound. The ultrasound then also saw a suspicious area. I remember on my way back from the hour drive my mind was barely wrapping around the possibility of the C word and my car broke down. OH that entire afternoon was just surreal. I then had to go back and have the biopsy done. Even though that came back okay the doctor was still suspicious he had missed something so I then had to go have a breast MRI. It took 3 full weeks to get those results so from start to finish it was close to 2 1/2 months of not having an answer.
The MRI place had misplaced my results! The absolute relief and joy at finally hearing the results at nothing found was a high like no other.
It sounds like you went through that same nerve-wracking LONG wait. SO glad yours also ended up okay!
@@DarlaAnne I appreciate being reassured every year. I know it's detection, not prevention. It was apparently scar tissue from surgery when I had surgery at 14.
