Yes mitre official match balls are one of the best to get since well the flight of the ball while kicking is just amazing and the softness of the ball when squeezed yet hard when you kick it is amazing i have the carabao cup one from last year and wow it's phenomenal underrated as one of the best balls i ever played with i say that or the adidas torfabrik 2015

Always go with Adidas' ball since grade school, either UCL or WC ver. Dad said it has prestige value and that UCL star pattern simply incomparable.

Buy yourself a "Select" Football = Danish football company. Once you play with Select ball you will never go back to adidas or nike shit.

I've played with both match balls and here is my review on each:
Nike:
- Stiffer ball
- true flight (Reacts accurately to how you strike it)
- Stable in the air
- fun to ping around
- Feels lighter than the Adidas ball
- If pumped too much, it will feel like a rock
- Responsive
Adidas:
- Cushion feeling
- Very responsive
- soft touch
- fun to ping around
- even if you pump it a lot, the soft material makes it feel light
- Reacts accurately to how it is struck
Final Verdict:
If you want a ball that provides the best responsiveness and touch when you play a match, I would go with the bike ball as it is reliable and accurate when passed around.
If you like the soft touch and pingy sensation, then I would go with the Adidas ball.
Great footballs to use, but it comes down to what you prefer when you play.

Literally the most accurate review, ive played with both for hundreds of hours and know because my adidas telstar ball lasted so long and never had issues really till its death, but after a while my nike ball became an actual rock because it had too much air, one time my friend said oh hell nah im not playing with the rock lmao. Once you over inflate that ball it sorta wont feel the same after, or if you just leave it overinflated for too long.

Solid review. There are very different feel between big brand match balls. The Nike one feels like a rock after playing years with the soft and wobbly Puma, for example.

At least the first one and I second very much the Mexican League soccer ball Voit, like how it feels. La Liga's Puma and Liga MX (México) Voit are good choices as well imo

I bought a Nike Strike trainingball and when I received it and pumped it , it deflated after a few hours of use , the valves on Nike footballs are not good at all, immediate return
Spot on review, especially about performance - the Adidas definitely curls better, but is more slippery and the Nike follows straight shooting lines better.

That one if I recall correctly was more unstable when flying in the air so keepers were having a headache dealing with powerful shots.

I got a uefa champions league ball yestrrday for £6 and it amazing the bounce is good the feeling is good the touch connecfion is amazingmy skills feelso smooth and it doesnt hurt when i shoot the ball. (I revommend it alot).

I'm no scientist but doesn't having grooves and divots on a surface increase the surface area. Does the air not pass through the grooves like a canal/tunnel and create more swerve or movement? Just a thought.
No I believe the grooves force the air to go around the ball rather than trying to to hit the ball directly

i have used the £25 and £125 version of both nike balls and the match ball feels nicer to strike and it curls much much easier compared to the cheaper version

Guys how much do inflate the ball? We train with these Adidas UCL balls and when I inflate them to their minimum recommended amount of air pressure - 0,8 bar or 11 psi, then everyone complains that they are overinflated and it hurts when you shoot the ball etc.
Just go by feel. That's what I do 99% of the time.
Used to play a lot of football before and the nike strikes always freaking lasted like a month. Adidas balls were much more durable but I have no idea how they are now.
I use the Adidas match balls on dry and firm surfaces, and Nike match balls on wet and soggy pitches.

Champions league balls just feels more comfortable. Nike feels a bit lighter. Personally I like a bit of weight on the ball cause it gives very satisfying feeling while passing.
And definitely make things easier when you are going power on the shot.

Based on my experience, at the same pressure, Nike Flight is softer, but less durable.

If a person is not a trained or physically not strong enough like junior kids then I think they should play with a lighter ball instead of matchball. Matchballs are hardest to play

I have 2 champions league footballs and 1 Telstar. If I have the money, definitely not buy an adidas football cause the thermal bonding is very delicate and the durability is ridiculous short :(, the valve also fails in a huge mount of pieces and I'm so sorry by the beautifull design and performance but never ever will buy another Adidas ball, so I prefer the Select brillant TB or a Nike/Puma football without stiches.
When you put them down gently on a flat hard surface like a table top, do they stay still or do they tend to roll till it comes to a standstill on their own ? Or do you have to put them down in a certain direction for them to stay still ? Thanks.
