Here I am sitting just pondering what it would be like if you were still right by my side. What we would've been if you wouldn't of left and blocked me out of your life. I know that distance was hard but we made it work. You and I were like turning gears, we connected in such a way that we were able to be happy together. Then one day the clockwork stopped and before I knew it I had lost you. I hate to say I relate to this.. even still.. after 2 years.. I’m still here and feel like this from time to time.. I used to fall sleep with her listening to the “Raining in...” series. These are very nostalgic for me during that time with her. You could only imagine the thoughts that are coming to me in this moment.. 3 years together, and now 2 apart.. and I still remember what it was like.. But simultaneously.. the meaning is so lost.. Or maybe that’s just me..
I miss having those smiles around me , I miss having the feeling of safety , I miss how she always made me feel at ease with her soothing voice. She’s gone now , I love you even though you’re happy with someone better.

But as you’re fighting with all your heart and spirit, few applaud you and say thank you for your sacrifices. You fight for the families of strangers yet your own country. Can’t fight for yours. Separating you from your family more from what you are already separated from them. Yet you push forward with that mask on, a grin, a laugh, a smile, and just a little hope life gets better. Yet you feel as if your back at square one cause everyone leaves . Whether it would be a breakup,work,deportation, or death. You are more alone than ever.
My favorite song now, as I realized this morning, is Sunday best. It represents me so well. In how things aren't perfect, but you gotta make the best of it. You'll be okay. Just leave the world a little better then you found it.

Am I the only person who thinks that this picture perfectly encapsulates a really weird mix of emotions ranging from seclusion to comfort as well as depict the title of the video really well. I mean, lofi usually does a good job at imagery, and you can just show any old picture of Tokyo in the rain to get the point across, but this picture hits that quality in a new way I haven’t really seen from any lofi up to this point.
