My girlfriend and I both serve in the military as reservists. I joined first as a National Guardsman with the Army, and was away 9 months. After I came back, everything was alright, but now she joined too and I have to wait 6 months to see her. I love her so godamn much. We always got these little songs attached to each other whenever one of us has to leave with our current situation..this is the one she would sing to me the week before she left, and I've been trying not to listen to it because it hurts that much. I miss the fuck out of her, really lucky to have someone who will wait 9 months for me, now I just have to wait 6.

God I'm so happy I finally found this song ! I heard it before only once in a Nail Salon, while I was getting my nails done, but the music so low I only kind of heard the tune & the words, "All Around Me". I loved every bit of it even though I couldn't really here much of it. just the melody. It was perfect. I searched for the song everywhere, but I didn't have much to go on so I never found it. I even called the Nail Salon later that same day to find out what station was playing to narrow down the search. No luck. I kept beating myself up about not finding it. Until today when I watched One Tree Hill S07e11. I know I started to watch it extra late, but I'm glad I started to. I love that show & I love it even more now that they played this song in it. It took me a few years to find this song again. I'm so glad my 6th grade teacher sung this song to me and my classmates, I love both this song and her. I'm also going to miss her. She like an actual fairy godmother.

That doesn't mean all of their songs are about christ, though, they are just a band with christian members and christian songs are just one of the many types that they do. Lifehouse is also a "christian band" in that sense, but neither of them would call themselves that, because their audience is so much wider than just the christian community

There's a Buddhist parable of the raft. A woman/man is on an island and notices danger around them but has enough time to build a raft. The person reaches the other side just fine and once they are there what do they do? Well of course they discard the raft. They don't worship it or hold onto that great moment forever. That being said still a great song just some food for thought for those who believe that a man (YEHWEH/God) died for them should be reminded of this very fact in order to keep pursuing them to be the best they can be. You can be grateful to a very high degree but if you keep down that road your making the cross an idol.
