Oh joy I can't wait to play the two stage Lu Bu boss fight. I remember him kicking my but back in Dynasty Warriors 3, many many years ago.
Its a game set in the Three Kingdoms period, you just know Lu Bu is going to be one of those Nightmare Bosses

This SOAB took me 5 hours, but definetly is a good "tutorial" boss. You learn with him all you need to know of the combat system.
took me 5 trys and i acidentally did new game cuz i tought there is loading saves so i did this boss again in my 2nd try cuz i got used to the combat

Playing the demo now. It's not the boss which is hard. The game is different than usual souls likes in that it's fast paced. I went through the first phase easily once I figured out the mechanics. Second phase I was stuck because I didn't realise that he could be insta-killed using the summon. Dunno who thought it would be a good idea to throw in tutorial text during a frantic boss fight. They should have taught the summoning mechanism before the fight. Anyways super fun game with a slightly steep learning curve. As usual KT has nailed it.

how can i do divine beast on pc
One tip you can parry everything so after lock on stand still when he attack before landing press O then square for light attack as don't use spirit don't doddge or panic just wait him it will be easier also don't forget it is demo you only have 3 healing cord in full game you will have more tools to make your life easy
The first boss is really to hard
Either the guy in video didn’t realize or chose to do it hardmode but on the 2nd phase at about half his life you can instantly kill him with triangle + circle
@@Mufire1991 I have farm 1 hour to level up. Then I have choose a stronger weapon then the katana. It was 50% more easy . And I beat the boss. If someone have also problems they can do this

Ok. I've been playing and beating all the souls type games and none have given me fits like this. I just cannot get the perry timing down on this boss. Especially, the unblockable attacks. How the do you time these parries?
At the very last moment. Also you should absolutely avoid spamming the button otherwise you'll end up dodging instead of parrying.
Honestly during the first phase, once you get the timing right, it's quite easy to repeatedly parry the unblockable ("red") attacks, and doing so will cause huge posture damage.
I play a bit differently from the video's author and get through the first phase almost every time with the 3 health potions left. I just wait for the boss to attack me, and I parry, give him 2-3 light attacks until he blocks, then wait for him to attack again, then I parry again, and repeat, until he loses all his posture. Parrying non-red attacks is easier when you're close to the boss, and Parrying red attacks is easier from a distance and while waiting the very last moment to parry. The more you manage to parry, the more the posture bar is filled with white, thus reducing the maximum posture damage he can get before getting stunned. If you do this continuously, at some point the red part of the posture bar will fill all the space not already filled by the white part, and that's when you can give him a big spirit attack (when the enemy is highlighted with a red dot). Doing so deals a lot of damage, with 2 or 3 of these you kill the first phase.
Practice parry timing and it will become quite easy. The key is to wait longer than for a souls-like game. Refrain from parrying too early, just wait almost until you get touched. Wait even a bit more for the red (unblockable) attacks than for a typical lighter attack. I recommend practicing it in the tutorial zone accessible when you select Travel from a flag. You will get used to it over time :-)
If he jumps towards you, just block.
It's just a matter of rhythm. Once you get used to it, it's quite manageable.
The second phase was much harder for me until I found out how to parry. Parry 2 or 3 times and you'll be able to "release the power of the jade", and boom, done.
Took me 4-5 hours of practice, though 😂

I can't wait to get the full game 😁 Challenging one (I've never played a Nioh game) but once you get the combat mechanics right, and forgot what you learned with FromSoft games, it's extremely enjoyable. Like a strategical, fast, rhythm-based Sekiro where you balance speed/agressivity with patience and parries. Sounds like a masterpiece to me ♥️

For those who don't know, once you get him to 50% HP in Phase 2, you just need to use your Divine Beast summon to instant kill him.

How do you use that?
When I get him to 50% health and that option comes up, I press RB but the option for pressing B/O isn’t available. The ability is lit up like I can use it, but I have no button prompt to actually use it. So idk how you guys are using that ability.

After beating the demo... Sekiro definitely seems harder than this game. Elden Ring is probably easier because of all the tools you have.
I beat the later two bosses on my second attempts. I can't think of that happening with any two consecutive bosses in Sekiro.
It's a mixed bag of a game.
Normal small enemies is like playing dynasty warriors, hack and slash.
Parrying is good but not required as much.
Boss is like Sekiro u need parry to break stance.
Also the RPG side u can have many builds like Elden Ring cuz u have 5 diff elements to choose when up stat.
One last thing, big boss fight feels a bit like Monster Hunter too, not full Sekiro.
U can play co-op with 3 men party with each player diff role.
I personally like to play Wizardly build (Gold Element focus)

Dynasty Warrior's musou style gameplay is antithetical to Fromsoft's combat system. I wonder how this will play?
It's neither of both, it's a Ninja Gaiden-like with some Fromsoft's elements
its literally Chinese Nioh. Team Ninja has shown they can make games like this.

I loved everything about this game except two things! The voice acting in this feels a bit cheap. Team ninja needs to have more mature English voice acting. Also, the graphics is a bit dated for ps5 and xsx.

Sounds like you don’t have the patience to Git Gud. You’re missing out. Monster Hunter has some of the best fights of any game and the fight takes a while but as you get better they go faster. Same with this game and Nioh. Don’t expect a first boss to be easy always.

The easiest boss in soul like games ever. I defeated the boss at the 4th attempt without using a single potion and the ultimate spirit power. It’s super tolerant to parrying timing.
Damn, the graphics are pretty outdated. Textures are abysmal. seeing more fidelity in particles and effects but tbh Nioh 2 even looked better than this.
