For those of us with foot conditions and disability the choices are slim...but Clarks fits an orthotic and makes a maryjane in every color, and if you can tolerate dansco they have a higher heeled black mary jane that I am able to wear for a few hours while in rockabilly/retro styles.

Also, I believe rocket originals have stable flat soled shoes too!

One of my favorite pairs of shoes is actually a Payless purchase. They are a grey and black "saddle shoe" style, t-strap heel. The brand is Dexflex Comfort (yeah, they're designed to be comfy and support your arches). I don't know if they still make the style I own, but they regularly come out with various retro style shoes in the ballpark of $25.
They are very very similar to a pair that I had from target many years ago! I will have to look into these more, thank you for pointing them out to me!

I don't think I could ever find original vintage shoes in my size! That is lucky! I'm sure glad repro companies cater to people like me so we can all get that vintage look no matter our size :)

I got two pairs of Chelsea Crew Jojo's on Poshmark for a great price. eBay And Poshmark are my go tos for everything I want first then I go to specific websites.
I have two pairs of Rocket Originals. They come up a little small in general, but gosh they are like wearing slippers! One in leather which took one wear to break in, the suede however were like slippers from the off! and this is from someone who cannot wear heels and is a big klutz lol. Id wear them all the time if work allowed me. I dream of owning Re-mix though. One day Ill treat myself!

I’ve found some cute vintage-plausible heeled oxfords through Cobb Hill/New Balance. I wear them to most of my vintage cycling events. They’re incredibly comfortable. I spent big money on Miss-L-Fire and find them virtually unwearable.
You should check out saint savoy shoes. I am a swing dancer and I just bought a pair from them they have such cute vintage swing shoes. I personally like them more than re-mix
Just looked and they are indeed gorgeous! I'm not sure the heels are quite tall enough for my liking, but the styling is beautiful and very authentic looking.

Ah yes! I haven't tried any of their shoes yet myself, but they do have a really lovely emerald green suede heel they just launched that has really caught my eye!
I was hoping that royal vintage had some that were flats I don’t do well with heels since I have problems with my knees but I am one that wants to get shoes that are made out of natural materials instead of rubber or plastic which do not let your feet breathe do you know if they carry flats?
As a trans woman, my choices are limited simply because so many shoe companies ((especially unique and vintage reproduction shoe companies)) don’t make sizes beyond 8 or 9 😞
I hate it when they don't have a size 10 or larger, so I'm sorry so many have such a limited size ranged! I've seen "luxury" brands that only go up to a size 8! It's unfortunate for sure
Honestly everything in this video is still the same/true now. I stand by Remix and Royal Vintage as my favorites! I think Royal Vintage run quite true to size and if they ever have not they have included that in their information (there was a run of one of their styles once that came out a little big and they were very open about this). As for Remix, I have found their sizing a bit harder, as most of the time I get my size (10) but did have to go down in my Garnets (heeled sandals) to a 9 1/2, which luckily I bought those in store and was able to try them on.
I agree actually! I was racing against a dying battery and rushing obviously doesn't bring out the best in me. I aim to practice and get better as I make more videos!

Dreampairs has a few great options, I have arthritis in my knee and their options are all orthopedic and lovely . Very comfy
