Too bad mamba mentality is a myth… numbers actually reflect that Kobe was below par in terms of being clutch. More misses than any player in NBA history (by over 1000) and never won a single playoff series without Shaq or Pau… or Phil Jackson for that matter either. Finals MVP for 2/5 championships and honestly Pau deserved finals MVP in 2010…
@@floyd9727 1.) Pau does not deserve 2010 FMVP by no means or stats. He just had a better game 7 and that's it.
2. "never won a series without Pau or Shaq". Ignorant. He literally played 3 healthy seasons without them 05-07 and the fact that he made it to the Playoffs alone with that shitty team is an achievement.
As for the most misses in clutch. Guess what, you have to have the balls to take them to miss or make them. Plus you do not watch basketball and it shows since Mamba mentality and clutch is not just a game winner. The clutch means more than the last minute shot. Kobe carried his team more than any other legend ever in the clutch (=last minutes of the 4th quarter) taking over games by his own willing the Lakers to comebacks or making sure they stay ahead. But "one shot stats" like the ones you use won't show that.

Yeah he shot "bad" from the field but every player in those finals shot below average. Pau had 48 FG% which is "bad" for a big man.

Always remember lebron made it to the finals with the trash cavs against the spurs. And lebron didn’t take 500 shots did he? No he passed the ball, he did it all. Kobe is always known has a mid range scorer.
