- I have been OBSESSED with Demon Slayer for the last two years and just NOW am I finally getting around to drawing all my faves from this show!! So here's my take on Gyomei Himejima from Kimetsu No Yaiba, or Demon Slayer!

@@Dead_gost123 He is actually quite underrated. Most of the time I actually see people talk about him is when they compare him to the UMs, he doesn't seem to have a huge fanbase like Giyu or Shinobu does...
Once his backstory is covered, it’s going to make everyone become soft for him. Especially with what happens to him after the sunrise countdown arc. God bless him, he was always one of my top favourites.

I love how he shows his emotions and cries a lot but is shown to be the strongest Hashira. Emotions aren’t a weakness, and I love that they show that! I love Gyomei so much and it’s fitting he’s like Genyas dad cause I also love Genya so much! Both are amazing characters 💕

Imo, Gyomei is the proof that you don't need to be cold hearted to be strong. He's the strongest hashira, at the same time, he's one of the more sensitive and gentle hashira among all of them. I love it

I think Gyomei’s pretty cool too, like his character design, his breathing style and his weapon, very unique! He’s also my brother’s favourite character, he also has all the forms of the stone breathing style because it’s his fav breathing style and it’s what Gyomei uses lol

I really like how you said that he is basically Genyas dad because of his backstory (if you know, you know) but I'm pretty sure it was also Tanjiro that gave Genya the smile because Tanjiros smile reminded Genya of when Sanemi smiled more often. I'm also SUPER excited for the next arc! Gyomei is TOTALLY a powerhouse in it!

As someone who’s read the manga, Gyomei does get a lot of screen time and yes he does have a heart breaking backstory

Hes such a father figure. 🫶 I see him and Genya having a son and father relationship. He also took in Shinobu and Kanae. And in the Kimestsu-High spin off. It’s said a lot of students call him “father” by accident, due to his kind nature. So this is why Gyomei is my number one.🫶🫶🫶🫶
