- In this vlog it's turning cold as autumn sets in and we have very little coal or wood on board our narrowboat Thistle & Rose. We leave the Staff's & Worcestershire Canal and join the Shropshire Union canal searching for somewhere that sells coal.
We have family staying aboard, a breakdown in Wifi and visit a great village pub.
We also enjoy the autumn colours and tranquil surroundings of this canal with it's lovely villages, great pubs and awesome wildlife.
See the Heron fly-by and also come face to face with a huge Peacock.
Follow us as we continue to explore the Canals & Rivers of England living our alternative lifestyle. - Zábava

Really enjoying your channel guys, great vlog. The scenery was lovely on your cruise with the low sun giving it all a golden glow. Great heron footage too 👍
Thanks so much! 😊
Hello, it’s great to join you at the start of this journey. Enjoying your perspective and your dynamic. Funny. Love the dancing. We are about to buy a narrowboat, small for weekends and holidays. Very excited. If we spot you on the canal we’ll give a wave. We also have a nutty puppy. Labrador, they may be able to bark at each other. Take care, looking forward to watching your adventures. J
Good luck with your new boat. Like a lady said to us when we first got ours, 'you won't like it, you'll love it'
Definitely give us a wave when you join the cut. Thanks.
Ralphy's looking sharp with his new haircut. 😀
Ralph says woof 🐶
Really enjoying your vlog. Could you show the next use of a winding hole, with your bow thrusters and verbal commentary? Thank you for your posts?
Thanks for the suggestion! Great idea. Keep watching and we'll add our views of using our Bow thrusters in coming vlogs. Thanks for watching
I think you guys are magical I enjoy your blogs!!!

great vlog guys.... hey what's your accent?, and I love at the end ros saying..toodooloo is that how you spel it?> love it.
Hey! Rob is English and Rozzie is Scottish. Thanks for watching
I'm welsh and live in Adelaide Australia
Seriously guys, fuel for the fire should never be an issue .As cruisers, you are continually passing totally sustainable fuel sources in the name of timber, so high on any priority list, should be a cordless chainsaw such as to allow you constant access to this fuel source. 😃
Good shout, it’s on our wish/shopping list
I could not help but notice the gold record in the frame on your wall. Did one of you make a record that sold a million copies ? :)
Hi, I wish it was gold! it’s just a normal vinyl single. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
I know what nesh is I'm a Yorkshire man 😅why didn't you call for the canal boat that does coal and fuel he comes to you no matter where you are love the vlogs keep safe 💋
Thanks for watching, welcome aboard. The fuel boats travel on a schedule and it went passed us a few days before but we'll be filming when we do use it. 👍
I would like to purchase one
Can you send me your specs and who your builder is
Would you consider selling yours?
Our boat was built by Aintree boats.
Thistle and Rose is not for sale. We hope to have many years aboard her. Thanks for watching
Staffs and Wusster
🤣 Rozzie was getting tongue tied
what is interesting to me, a Yank, you drive on the left, but yet you boat on the right ...hhhmmm Also using Imperial measurements rather then metric. Hands up in the air!!!
Can't help you there I'm afraid, although Narrowboats were obviously moving over 100yrs before cars were invented. Don't get us Brits started on Imperial v Metric, we're still recovering from arguments over Brexit! :)) Thanks for watching, always great to hear from people over the pond.
