I was totally anti narcissistic in my early 20s thinking I had to save everyone and I wasn't a "good person" if something bad happened. Then a very wise therapist came along and said to me "don't you think it's a bit narcissistic to think like that." And bam it was like she slapped me in the face with reality. 10 years later I've realised my mother has put a lot of her insecurities and emotions on me. Oh well.

​@@michelekurlan2580 oh I agree. This therapist even used the words "god like." She knew how to smash that delusion of needing to help people so well. I was pretty horrified when I saw it that way.
Also took me way too long to figure out a lot of stuff she said about unhealthy relationships where to do with my parents. And how much they can't even see a boundary when they don't want to.
