The premise of the movie is pretty weird: if technology existed that would make people able to survive Titan, it would be trivial to adapt humanity to the changed conditions on Earth.
Pretty much. I mean the concept seems legit and fun. But one thing bothers me. What will they eat on Titan?. My guess is to make half the population go to titan soo that earth can recover slowly without taking too much from earth.

It isn't as if Earth would blow up or be swallowed by a black hole or something like that in this movie. It just would be too polluted for humans to live there.
It makes no sense to flee earth because it has become "unlivable" and go to another place that is even more unlivable.
If you can make humans that are able to live on Titan, you can also make humans who are able to live on this new, changed Earth.
I wish they made a sequel that's a pure "feel good" movie that shows other humans turned into Titanans and their developing civilization. And then out of nowhere humans coming to Titan to give them some of that good ol' freedom.

It might be helpful to avoid some kind of global catastrophe, by having a second group of humans somewhere.

Well it is indeed cool for a kids to have a dad that go to other planet. He at least got some cool dad story to tell at school. But seeing they living in the luxury deserts, I don't think he even have school.
Does anyone find it odd they would choose people for this experiment that had family?
I get for the drama it creates for the story, yet at the same time it sort of taints the scientific element as well. For such a traumatic medical experiment you would think no one doing it would have relationships to connect to.
But it was voluntary by the guys , so I don't see much problems , yeah it's not perfect but if they have thier consent then it shouldn't be a problem

@@StandAsYouAre Additionally, it's easy to assume that the fact that the experiments were unethical, taking regular every day citizens with families would serve as cover as the government would be least likely to question them in comparison to if they were using let's say prisoners. I think its possible tho, that even thou they had no idea what the results would be, they did had some form of hope that if successful, the subjects would still retain some form of their humanity to indeed return home.
This is a perfect example of a film that went from being just fine and sort of intriguing in the first two acts to flat out terrible in the final act.

how do people not understand the movie was about the experiment itself. The 13 people were test subjects to see if it would work. The ending is just showing that it worked. So now they would do this exact thing to everyone and those who survive would go to titan and those would the people tp reproduce. Not the original 13. The movie was about the trial and if it worked.
They didn't kill her according to the recap. They only shot her with sleeping pills. She's too valuable to be killed since she and the mc was the only ones to survive the final test.

He doesnt need to eat if he can photosynthesize, absorb heat energy like deepsea animals at hydrothermal vents, or i dunno, absorb titans air thru his skin and metabolize it. But i agree that he has nothing to do. He will go insane in a year.
actuall titan is VERY resource rich in the things are running out of aka it has HUNDREDS OF TIMES more natural gas and fuel then the entire earth you wouldnt to live there in mass but making dome citys and industry pumping the resources out and back to earth is the most logical thing to do in both the movie and real life.

Although the movie was shitty, I just adore how they recreated titan in the ending. They made it so realeastic and accurate, like the haze in titans atmosphere and the little sun light it would receive. And let's not forget it's methane lakes as well!
