    Tip: Draw key frames first, then add drawings in between so it looks smoother.
    A popular movement pattern is this
    •-•--•----•----•--•-•
    It starts slow, and ends slow

    • @pratikshakhalane9484
      @pratikshakhalane9484 Před 2 lety +1

      i think the circles are the key frames and the lines are the inbetween frames

    • @amateuranimator10
      @amateuranimator10 Před 2 lety +1

      @@pratikshakhalane9484 the lines are frames and the dot's are key frames, a frame is a copy of the previous keyframe and a keyframe is a different drawing from the last keyframe, changing a frame will change the keyframe its copying but not with a keyframe which doesn't altar the previous frames before it when you mess about with it

    • @amateuranimator10
      @amateuranimator10 Před 2 lety +1

      so easing in and out

    • @X-Kaiser
      @X-Kaiser Před 2 lety +1

      this is good advice it is a basic skill to learn key and in-between frames
      1 i think drawing every frame is not a mistake unless you want to have that style of animation
      2 again it depends on what style of animation you have, i don't think there should really be a required number of frames unless it looks good
      3 arcs are important in making your animation smooth and natural
      all of these tips are great and helpful i'm just putting my opinion out there (two years late lol)

    • @nullro_
      @nullro_ Před 3 lety +29

      If your lines are shaky Id suggest taking a small amount of time to practice having non-shakey lines. My best advice is to draw whatever it is on a program specifically for art, be sure to make the canvas the same size as the animation canvas, and then add in the image. I say this because many art programs have a stabilizer tool for smoother lines. I know this was posted a month ago but hope this at least helps a little bit

    • @compostedhumanwaste
      @compostedhumanwaste Před 3 lety +12

      @@mariahholden2088 It means you are animating on two frames, you want to copy and paste the frames to animate on twos and if you don’t copy and paste its better to animate on 1’s which is just animating 1 action to another action and so on , and if you don’t copy and paste you have to try and draw every frame to look the same and it just mot worth it when you can copy and paste frames. Also you need a high fps if you want your animation to look smoother when you are animating on twos

    Just a tip guys; u don’t have to redraw every frame for it to look good 💖 sometimes it even looks better to just move certain parts around because it keeps the charceter consistent and the lines don’t wobble around (also then u can finish things quicker 😉) also I’m like no where near professional lol this is just what I think 🦕👍

  • @sophiabc768
    @sophiabc768 Před 3 lety +11

    😕 A common mistake every (and I mean, EVERY) FlipaClip Creator makes is jittery Animation: An object moving 10 Pixels in one direction in each Frame is smooth, but an object moving 9 Pixels in one Frame, and 7 Pixels in another is jittery. The best way to describe jittery Animation is like a car breaking down, because it's like it's moving in different speeds.
    😯 Another common mistake FlipaClip Creators make is accidentally resizing objects. the most common way this will occur is when you don't have a proper reference, or when you can't see the object anymore. So your mind has to get creative, but most of the time, you make the wrong calculations and end up making everything disproportionate.
