- Yeah i've had lack of motivation to animate anything big ;-;
But well, i decided to make this little tutorial. Neither is the animation so big, and had the energy for it ^^
I hope this video helps somehow on how to animate smoothly or just in general making a character move :]
This also shows, how i animate. (I mostly tween ;-;)

Here's another tip I thought might help : For very detailed characters, always use another layer for coloring, it take time but trust me on the process, it's also useful when shading or appliying effects 😃👌I also advise making storyboards so you don't forget what you're working on .
Aa thanks! Yes this helps ^^ Thanks :)
@@Lokifur no problem ^_^
omg i always do that even if my character isnt complex and it helps me out so much
That's amazing ! It makes the character look neater ! 💕
@@Lokifur Another thing, if you're animating a cartoon-like character, ex: Mickey mouse, Spinel, anything like that you would apply the rules of squash & stretch!
Oh, btw, if you want to animate but don't want to draw the lasso around the whole character EVERY. SINGLE. FRAME. to fix a certain mistake, you can double tap the lasso tool twice and it automatically selects the whole character!
Okay how the fuck did this help me more then like 5 tutorials from professional animators⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️
Dayum 🤯 Glad this helped though!
because this person isnt explaining anything. you just followed the video step by step instead of actually learning anything. ☠
@@silvinavelarde6762 nah it’s bc they make it easy to understand for beginners in animation. It’s like art tutorials on YT/TikTok, that you can follow as a guide from the start and then eventually learn why is that so, and how to alter it. I may not be a good animator but I’ve been drawing since 3, I know when I will need to understand
@@XArtisanHere its easy to understand BECAUSE its a step by step.
@@silvinavelarde6762 Yeah I never said that wasn’t true
TIP:
When coloring with the bucket, put the white square at 99%
Thanks for the tip! ^^
The fact that the top of the ball lined up with one of the gridlines before the grid was even turned on is so satisfying 😔🙌 also your art style is gorgeous and adorable, thanks for the tutorial :D

Your tutorial is amazing and can really help others to learn well. My problem with drawing and making animation is the lack of motivation and deconcentration. It’s difficulty for me to draw something basic while having these issues. This appeared on my recommends and caught my attention. The way you explain by each step is nice and easy. Good luck with your creativity future artist!
Wow thank you so much! But I hope you'll get ease from the problem and wish you the best ^^ I'm glad this was easy to follow and caught your attention! Thank you for the compliments and good luck for you too

Underrated?! New subscriber!
Aa thank you so much! ^^ I appreciate that :]
If you want to take a more cartoony approach at animating smoothly, try the squash and stretch technique!
That's a nice technique! ^^
Bro istg my mind keeps telling me layer frames are useless💀
easiest ways to make your character smooth use copy pasted frames🤓☝️
mannn u've grown so much :D
Omg tysmm! ^^
You should try out the pose to pose method, it really helped me in my animating journey! It’s basically where you draw all the main poses, space them out, and then add the inbetweens! (It makes it smooth again)
Oo yes! This method is familiar, but i haven't really used it :^ But thanks for the tip though! ^^
@@Lokifur Glad it helps!
Thanks for the tips! >:3
Np! ^^
Heres a detail no one seems to be suggesting; USE KEYFRAMES. Keyframes are crucial in any frame by frame animation. You cant just do one frame and then the next frame aimlessly. After you do that, you have to draw the in-betweens, which will be harder for a higher fps animation.
And as for the ball, many professionals use a time chart. Thats how they organize the slow-ins and slow-outs of the animation between keyframes.
Aa thanks for the tip/detail! ^^ I don't really come to think about this, but I usually do a storyboard or whatever it's called :] It helps me alot! But I can try this tip on my next animation :]
This really helped! Thanks!
No problem! Glad this helped ^^
This was so useful Ty!
Tysm! ^^
here’s another tip if you want to fill in the white dots:
go to the paint button and double tap/click on it and on the very top it should say “60%” put it up to 99% and then it’ll look cleaner
Thanks for the tip! :3 Didn't know about this :0
beautiful animation bro
Thanks! :]
I’d recommend using the lasso tool to past the drawing to move it straight it makes it easier and takes a lot less time
I'm sorry i dont KIND of understand :[ Can you explain again? Is it like with grid or how do you do it with a lasso?
@@Lokifur I’ll post a tutorial

Thanks for the tutorial omgg😁😁

Thx helped so much for my drawing skill..
Finally, a recent tutorial! also i have a question, if the head goes up, does the body move down or also move along with the head?
Well, it can pretty much depend! The body can stretch within, or in the video the fur goes a bit up from the neck :] I think it would look better if the body does move up. If the character looks up, the neck can also go down. Also if it has fur it can go down. (Sorry if the explaining is a bit unclear) but i hope this helped somehow ^^ You can ask more questions if this was a bit unclear ;^;
@@Lokifur ohh, alright!! thank u, ill keep that in mind!

I also sometimes first make the beginning frame and end frame of the segment (by segment, i mean 1 movement) but i think this is an entirely different method.
Great tutorial, lovely artstyle :)

I don't like drawing furries, but that doesn't mean I hate them! I'm working on a project that's why I'm trying to animate smoothly but thank you this would help me!

@@Lokifurwhen I go on it says I needed flipaclip plus
Hi how are you buddy? :D I'm not foreign unfortunately so I'm using the translator but I have a question, how do you do that tweening in your animation called "anger" your tutorial video motivated me a lot and I would like to know more! Thank you very much for the tutorial and I hope you get more recognition someday! ^^
Oh hii! I am glad this helped ^^ But about the tweening, it can be a bit hard to explain, and i might make a tutorial about it ^^ But! I put different body parts like head, ears and torso to different layers. The ears layer goes under the head layer, so the ears are under the head and not on top. But when i tween, i move the parts in a rhythm or speed depending on the music on the background. If the music has a fast rhythm, the parts also move faster in a rhythm :3 As you can see in the video, i use a technique: first small movement, then big movement and lastly again small movement! I use it in tweening, since it also gives a smooth result for the tweening :] You can watch the "Anger" video in 0.25x to see, how the bodyparts move, so you can see the seperate frames ^^ If you still have questions, feel free to ask! :3 I might make a seperate tutorial about tweening too! Hope this helped :)
thx ! Im actually a beginner !
And is to smooth this help a lot and thx help me !
Oo nice! Good luck on your animating journey! And glad this helped! No problem :>

In blender to animate smooth: quad in out and blezier :)
