- Rockstar are actively working on something for RDR2 and Red Dead Online. At first I thought that it will be simple hot fix for Red Dead Online on PC, but now it really looks like it will be a new Title Update that should fix the game on PC and consoles and maybe even more.

I wish this game would get the love it deserves, but it sadly won't happen. GTA is their baby which I find really boring to play these days. Even the new content updates, I just don't really care about them. I'm sick to death of GTA V's map. I was never a big fan of it to start with. Red Dead's is much richer has waaaay more variety!

The only thing I hate from rdo are the other players haha.
I know its "online" but always when I see other players, even if they are friendly and not kill me on sight, my moonshine shack crashes or some animals or strangers doesnt spawn. They are always ruining intended or unintented something for me.
@@e-0703 hey actually - there is a way to boot up a game in completely solo lobby, u can also invite some friends to join it - it doesnt require any game modification or third party mods or addons, simply one little "text" file, i already tested it and have been playing in it for quite some time now, since game is broken and u cant play on online public lobby - this is is the only way, we also have found some nice small community to fill up the empty space, there are more or less 10/20 players online on most of the times and its been a blast, you should check up on it :)
@@e-0703 Pretty much part and parcel of online Open world sandboxes! The Devs then put in mechanics that actively encourage griefing! "This player's moving cargo, go attack them and fuck up their hours of work!"
Me and some mates recently started playing RDO, we've been having a lot of fun, but we've all put the same piece of code in our start-up files so we all get put into the same private lobby. Only way to play the game atm!
Those lobbies already exist. Just had a notepad file to your directory.

Honestly this alone would make me and many other come back to it more often. As much as Me and my friend like to get on and play it, going back to the motion blurred 30 fps of red dead 2 does sometimes cause us a headache for a bit

I know its a dream. But my biggest wish for Red Dead is adding a fun Outlaws and Lawman update where theres Outlaw players that rob banks, and trains and such in Free Roam and the Lawman players try to stop them. And of course bounty hunter players would also be able to hunt down Outlaw players as well. I just think it would a Player interaction dynamic that this game desperately needs

@@gabriell1383 Red M is RDR but enhanced by independent devs, Take 2 own it, but the devs have almost complete freedom to move the game forward…….there are a lot or role players and also solo players, with all of the jobs housing, pets adventures etc everyone has ever wished for……including all of the items from all of the old passes, Mexico Canada Guama…there are some things that are different, but all of the additional stuff kinda balance’s it out, plus there is in going content development…the only real restriction is that it’s PC only

Respect to you and your dedication for this game, I used to have hopes and played for a while even after we all realised the game was left in the dust, but there was only so much you can do until it’s time to go. Had like 2.5k hours between 2020-2022
I really hope that if it is a title update they will give us the Outlaw Passes back, even if it just on a loop of previous passes. I understand that some people may want to keep their rare cosmetics rare however I really think it would be better if people could get these items again so much good cosmetics hidden away for years now.

@rougeHuntress - OR - here's a crazy idea - things shouldn't be time exclusive. Games back in the day gave us things that could be unlocked by simply playing the game, and you didn't have to do it by x date just to have it. They SHOULD drop all the Outlaw Passes AND make more content. Nothing wrong with bringing old stuff back (it shouldn't be gone to begin with).
Opinions like this is why so many games have Battle Passes now. People are apparently fine with limited time unlocks 🤣

I was excited to run a large wagon for the first time on my alt and it got destroyed by a high level posee, it went even worse because I forgot I left my settings on free aim and they had dynamite arrows vs my lvl 30ish alt.
Rockstar told intern gary to work with custodian Joe to help fix the game's bugs and glitches because Strauss zelnick is complaining to Rockstar that gold bar sales are low, and need new players to buy gold bars. That's probably the reason why Rockstar is giving this game a title update because of Strauss Zelnick and shareholders. Gotta keep that gold bar sales flowing, even if the game is not updated with new content.
I doubt that people buys gold bars after many years of no content.

I am a chill RDR2 Player and I absolutely love these videos, theyre literally perfect to me, they are so pleasant to watch. Nice to see they are finally doing something.

The main things they need to fix imo are horses and wagons not spawning properly and going into stables without the game freezing. There are workarounds for this, of course, but nobody wants to continue doing 3 different steps just so they can enter a building or have their horse/wagon spawn.
As a relatively new player (I bought the game in August), I still have a ton of things to do so I never feel like I'm not doing anything, but would love new content although Ik they gave up on this game.
Even just a quality of life update would be such a nice update as it could show a slow increase in attention Rockstar will spend on RDO but of course an actual content update would be preferable

Actually believe it or not despite all the constant issues lately I've been seeing more and more players. Both high levels and low. I really hope they're releasing new stuff, but chances are you're right about it being social club related. Maybe they're doing something to set up the game to be more self sustaining? Like setting monthly events and the passes to automatically open up during X time of the year... that way if nothing else we can always rely on monthly events being set... idk it's an idea. I would still love to get the damn husky for my camp lol.
Outlaw passes back would be such a simple thing and we make me so happy
Fix to stable bug is the only thing left I'm hopeful for. Seeing them reactivating the last of the season passes (Halloween Pass 2) again & again for the last two years has cast aside any doubt that they will not bring back any of the older season passes....

Maybe Rockstar didn’t want to do too much for RDO because they didn’t want to take away from the GTA Online player base. At least not until they got a huge budget approved for GTA6 by their financial overlords. They had to show that they could keep the player base alive and growing, and now that they are making GTA6 they will give RDO more updates, they have to know if they give RDO the same kind of creative support it will flourish just like GTA Online
I think rockstar will eventually come back to rdr2. It has HUGE potential and they definitely know it

@@joseywales1869 No, I'm neither of those things. I've been playing rdr2 for years. I said EVENTUALLY they will. Rockstar is not stupid when it comes to money. They just realised rdro wasn't their main focus at the time, since we now know gta 6 was in its late stages of development. When gta 6 comes out, I'm certain they will at least attempt to expand upon rdro

@joseywales1869 I'm not sure what kind of time frame we're looking at here. Definitely within the next 5 years and although that's quite a long time considering the fact that rdr2 has been out for nearly 6 years, gta online has been massively popular for just over 10 years. My logic here is that there is absolutely no competitor to gta online. Its a completely different class of game, there's no other open world sandbox game that is even close to gta online, except red dead online. It has the potential to be the wild west version of gta online, which is kind of what rockstar was going for when they made rdr2 in the first place. With the right guidance, rdo could be just as popular and successful as gta online, and rockstar must know this. I do think the development of gta 6 will have impacted their decisions regarding rdo, since rdr2 came out in the middle of development of gta 6, which is basically rockstars lifeline as a company. Maybe I'm being a bit optimistic but rockstar would be stupid not to return to rdo because its a massively untapped market

@@KidxSnapTook the gamble, when I saw It on Social club. It cost 20 gold & the rewards were just there, didn't have to do a thing except spend the gold, had to collect the lantern from the fence,, that was the biggest challenge lol.

I get their fixiation on GTA (Online and 6) but damn... they made one of the best games up to date and then dropped it like a hot potatoe. It's just sad at this point, I really hope that the title update will drop and that it's actually something. I mean most players would already be happy to get add ons that where in the game files already (missing horses etc.) - They could make so much money with that.
Yep! And there's no other Wild West online open world MMOs out there. There was one being made about a decade or so ago now I think, it apparently was terrible and didn't survive very long! They've got the market cornered and they know it, there's no competition, so there's no need to put the work in their eyes I guess...

Honestly if were lucky they might fix some glutches, like the stable bug or maybe the one that makes moonshine sales glutch out if attempted after running a trader delivery.
i broke my habit after new year wen i reached lvl 800 took a break and started to get into Hammer and map making again. i realy hope they inject some type of life juice like a editor maybe the older outlaw passes. and a major update. i realy miss the cowpoking around but i have a hard time justify the time to grind to 1k in this state atm

They should make a lawman role. It might be kind of a reskin of the bounty hunter but could do hideouts or something instead.
That'd be cool. A role that's locked behind prestigious bounty hunter completion. Missions would involve call to arms mechanics where you direct and lead NPC allies in taking out various gangs.

Lawman would be too similar to bounty hunter ,I would want more low honor role as bounty hunter is already a high one. Outlaw role where you could do train robbery, ferry jobs and bank heist would be cool.

My own hotfix was to make my RDO only play in private sessions. That's right, the thing ruining the game is hackers.
Wish they would give us more roles or something like train robbing missions or an actual outlaw role or more weapons. They had more guns back then lol. If they made another one the 20/30s would be rad cause people still rode horses cause they were faster than some cars. Could you imagine a BAR
Hopefully since the release of GTA 6 is getting closer they are able to free up some developers to work on RDR2 again.

Being a PC player, I all but stopped playing online.
I've been playing Hogwarts, Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty, and Avatar, but watching your vids I got homesick, so I started my 3rd playthrough on the story.
You know what?
I am reminded how fantastic this game is. I'm enjoying reexploring everything.

I've given up on RDO so long ago that I've had played through the story 7 times so I could at least keep the game alive in my heart.
Now that GTA 6 is on pace for release, the assets that were pulled from the online teams for RD and GTA are now free to return to their work. I'm guessing it took longer than expected, but still possible to get things back on track for the online games until GTA 6 is closer to launch. Then the old stuff will be abandoned again as it needs attention again.
Just as an FYI - I am having no problems on PC using the " add a line to the start menu file" solo session method. Stables work perfectly, no newer glitches, though I have noticed changes in the spawn patterns of legendary animals over the last year. They seem to be fewer at times and a little more random, just today the bison appeared in a place it had never been before - just south of the Larned Sod house instead of north of the same location.
I have very little hope for anything significant for RDO, it's such a shame they wasted all the potential to make a truly legendary game. An example of the typical corporate BS: "we don't care what the customers think about our products, as long as we take as much of their money as possible we're happy"
Anyway, that's a really nice shirt!

yesterday on PC some guy spawned a "mario bros floating fortress" on Valentine, and 2 low levels where harrassing me with inmunity, and aimbot hacks ... if only Rockstar went zero tolerance with any modder or hacker things would be enjoyable even with bugs or glitches
This is very interesting but I think them removing social club is probably the most likely answer, I don't expect them to add anything to the game anymore for a long time

Maybe we’ll finally get a functional cta lobby? Somehow I glitched into one a couple months back, haven’t seen it since.
The devs should at the very least bring Outlaw Pass 1 back on PC, because PC players never had access to that specific outlaw pass when it was originally available.
Idk if this will help somebody in PC but I fixed my crashes completely by changing Vulkan to DX12. If it doesn't work, you can revert to Vulkan and I'm pretty confident that this will fix your crashes. Hope it helps.

If they were planning on anything major they would announce it. Last thing they told us was they moved all their resources to GTA6. I wouldn't expect more than a few fixes.

Hi PVP Cat, please read that. I wanna tell you that a lot of bugs, stuck at stable, fireworks, blowing flames are there because of modders, along with game crashes. I know that you and many people thinks those are bugs and crashes from game's side, and you can get those even in solo lobby but, they are still there because of modders even in solo lobby. They simply corrupt every session they joined or something like that, and they can crash your game even when they aren't in session with you. Why I am sure of this? Because I experienced those bugs and crashes every time I played RDO, so I found a file that you put into game files, it creates your own private lobby at the start that no one can join, even cheaters, and since then I have never, literally never had one crash in many 4-8 hours sessions, I even tested bug where you get stuck at stable, I tried to get to every stable on the map, driving a horse in, walking in with my horse around, and NEVER got stuck.
you’re absolutely right. It’s the modders. Solo lobby manager mod solved all of my infinite loading glitches
Theres people on the main RDO discord that share their private lobbies so you can still play with others while dodging the chinese modders that brick your session
I complete short dailies for gold, but I don't play longer sessions anymore. I would be sooo amazed if Outlaw Passes will be back.
Cheaters make the game unplayable here in East Asia server(find them on every lobby), if they make an invite session it would be great
Note: when hunting, calling your Hunting wagon doesn't work.
I found the only way to get my wagon to show up is to deploy that wilderness camp.
This seems to be the only way to get it to spawn.
Once you call for it you can't ride your horse. (Can't have two mounts active at once.)
So your left to ask the local NPC for a ride haha.
This bug is not fun, and happens every time I call for it.
Not sure if this applies to the "Bounty hunter wagon"
The amount of time I spent trying to figure out my hunting wagon I forgot to test the other wagon..

I have only been playing RDO in solo public on pc. I tried to go to a public session and was surprised that I got crashed to desktop everytime. I thought it was because of modders but it's good to know that it's not the case.
All the crazy hopium is insane, people really think there's new content coming.
They've been busy on the backend for almost a month though.
At least they could add small updates such as expressman role. Stagecoaches already in the game. Just make them purchasable and let us carry the passengers from Location A to B.

I mean, the animations and textures for undead is already in the game, looking at Halloween passes, it is a stretch but I hope. Them already being in the game would mean there is no size increase.
At this point private lobbies would be cool even better if they just opened modding capabilities to console and charged a one time fee to access rp communities that modders up keep
cat,i have a serious question.whenever go to the butcher table and start the resupply mission,cripps starts to talk smth and after it ends nth happens even tho i have donnated things 100/100.the same happens with maggie,i did the mission of rescuing her cousin and the other mission just keeps on loading(white circle rotating with the black background).any solutions?

i tried playing red dead online today for the first time ever and I went in with an open mind and wanted to give it a chance... not an hour in a script kiddie was forcing me off my off my horse and boxing my character in with a pile of props so i couldn't move anywhere. Great online experience Rockstar, really fun...

my prediction: it will maybe fix one issue while causing multiple new issues, and it's actual purpose will be to break the methods people use to make private servers.

I hope it's a come back updated with new dlc and stuff n such, bc I love rdo and rdr2, and when gta 6 comes out it better not give the Online gamemode the abandoned treatment that rdo got, same with rdr3 and its online gamemode when it comes out in the next decade or so
Maybe RDR2 next gent to hold over players until GTA VI? I can imagine the Labor of Love reward may have brought some negative PR to the team and this is their recovery effort.

All they would have to do is port some sort of heist from GTAO into the style and theme in RDO and let players actually rob banks and the game would no doubt see a big spike in players comming back to play them, like I said all they would need to do is modify a GTAO heist and slap it right into RDO and there would be a lot of happy players just from something as simple as that.
i just want them to add the ability to have a private lobby without mods, a true passive mode, and deal with the modders.
I came back to online after I took a break to play Days Gone (which is great fun!). I wandered around, ran a moonshine wagon, killed an elk & then just lost interest. My usual thing is bounty hunting, but that’s become such a nightmare with the bounty wagon glitches. I love the game but I’m level 500+ and what’s left to do? Sad.
A Virtual reality version is a must. If they aren't working on this, they hate money.
