😍 Castellfollit de la Roca is a beautiful village located in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It is one of the most picturesque villages in Catalonia and is situated between the Fluviá and Toronell rivers, suspended on a spectacular basaltic cliff. The village is built on a basaltic cliff, called the cinglera de Castellfollit, which is about 50 meters high and about one kilometer long. The village is composed of squares and narrow, shaded streets. At the end of the precipice, there is the Josep Pla viewpoint square, which offers an impressive panorama. The church of Sant Salvador from the 13th century, the bell tower of Sant Roc, and especially the natural site of the village are its main assets. Castellfollit de la Roca is one of the smallest municipalities in Spain with less than one square kilometer. It is located near the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.

Nice place, why do you not put the original audio over the video?

Thanks for visiting! As we visited this place on weekdays and in October (non tourist season), there was construction and village maintenance work going on, so there was a constant loud noise in the background, this is the reason original audio is absent. Also, due to the same reason, we were not able to visit some more beautiful parts of this village. Cheers!

Also, if you are talking about the music at the beginning, it is only there for the highlights, later in the video there is original audio present in some parts mixed with the audio we recorded at the same village in the morning when there was no construction noise.

Yes, a few people live there in the old village, you can also see some abandoned old houses in bad condition, but the house which are in use are relatively modern.

@@DBenoit46 Very few (less than 100) in the old perched village, but Castellfollit de la Roca is a small municipality, so all the facilities for tourists are available within a kilometer of the village.
