I saw a post on Facebook, and this woman complained that her skin is very itchy after leaving the shower... I explained it was her skin barrier and suggested Aveeno balm. I also told her to follow you here on YT..
You're so educated on these matters and have helped so many of us.
This is a great video for me...
I used most of the products you've suggested and my skin is lovely once again...
The winter is coming and this is very tough on my skin...
    Thanks Dr Dray...

Same! I've been able to control my eczema at home without or with very minimal use of cortisone. Which we all know Cortisone is counteractive because it kind of thins your skin and that's kind of the problem to begin with with your skin.. But in the past I needed it... And I need a prescription strength now I'm able to control the flare-ups with over the counter products. It's a game changer and I really feel like sticking to simple fragrance free products that are not gimmicky really saved my skin and my wallet. Thank you Dr. Dray!

At 17:33 thank you for validating that! I took my daughter to a specialist and he mentioned how eczema can ruin a persons whole well being, how it was his childhood struggle which is why he specialized in it. When I mentioned it to my daughter’s pediatrician she laughed at me and said it doesn’t and stared at me like I was an idiot then pretty much said he’s a quack… I left so upset with her cause I know my daughter was miserable day/night!

Thank you so so much for putting this out! Just this morning, I was going through watching all of your eczema videos because with the weather changes and pregnancy, my skin has completely flipped out with what looks like a topic dermatitis. I was using some Vichy Products before… with fragrance and alcohol! My skin was really happy for quite a while with them but now, I can’t put them near my face! Sad because I just restocked things but you know, you got to do what you Gotta do. So I decided to pick up the Eucerin skin calming cream and their advanced cleansing body and face wash. Just this morning I went and got the Cerave ointment also. The first flareup I had was after using A&D ointment around on my face. It contains lanolin and fragrance… Then I had issues with fragrance products after that, so I believe I have been sensitized to fragrance now. Also, using some oil based skin care products did not help but made issues worse leading up to my second flareup. I am due with my baby in about a month, so I’m really hoping I can clear this up and keep it clear. I’m just planning to use what clears it up and keep using it for these winter months. It’s been hard forsaking all cosmetics in the meantime, but it is what it is!

It is mainly on the limbs and the scalp though, suprisingly my face skin is very resilient.

I am learning so much on this chanel. I have been to a dermatologist twice in 1,5 years. First time he said 'remove your cats, that's the origine/cause probably'.. 2nd time his answer was a little more professional and helpfull. I did get a creme with urea, very stingy in the beginning, but it does take away the itch after 15 minutes... effect doesn't last hours unfortunately. Tried a couple of lotions (eucerin, vaseline.. but most make me itchy after an hour, like it's too slick). I hate showering because its always itchy (too cold, too warm.. finding that sweet spot is hard) but I might try do it more often to get rid of the dried up skin before going to bed and just scratching whole night long. Thank you so much!

As someone who’s had Eczema for 14 years now, on my lower legs & ankles, sometimes you NEED to go to your doctor and get a prescription. Mine was so bad & so horribly Itchy, I had to get Elocon Ointment for it. Used twice a day, that actually cleared it right up in about two weeks. I tried many over the counter remedies & none of them worked. The prescription Ointment was a necessity for me.😉

really be careful to not use any topical steroid creams for longer then prescribed and not too often (only if there's really no other way and the eczema is very bad) or else your son can develope something called TSW (topical steroid withdrawal) which can be even worse than having eczema flare ups. i went through it once after using steroids for months with breaks inbetween (doctors kept prescribing me those creams) and after getting off of steroids my eczema that i usually only get on my hands and face started spreading all across my body and my whole body felt like it was on fire and it was one of the worst things i went through with my skin. just wanting to spread awareness and hope this helps!

For some reason the only thing that recently cleared my seb derm was a tanning moisturizer called Jergens Natural glow. I wanted to fix my hypopigmentation due to seb derm and while using the moisturizer it helped with my eczema. Idk why because looking back on it, it probably had a lot of ingredients that aren’t suitable for dermatitis. Is it bad to continue using? Any downsides to that specific brand ?
