OMG accurate 😂😂😂😂😂😂
LOL true!
Lol underrated
Lol
HAAHAHHAHAA YES
I love seeing her play an intelligent, emotionally stable character. She was often typecast as a dumb blonde, and people thought that's how she really was. But she was actually very intelligent.
She looked great with long hair
She looks in every cut short or long cause she had thick curly hair
She certainly did!!!
Even though those were hair extensions, your right she really good this way.
Looked like hair extensions. I felt like I could see her shorter do thru it
Prefer her in short hair though🙂🙂
This is a charming scene, for many reasons. First, she's not totally glammed up as she usually was, so along with the spectacular outdoor background, her realistic and natural-looking clothes make her more down-to-earth. Second, she sings an innocent and simple song, very well. Third, she's interacting with a little boy instead of an adult man. All of this is very different from the more familiar Marilyn movie appearances.
She would've been a wonderful mom I bet.
I saw a scene from her final unfinished film (later made as "Move over darling" with Doris Day. In it she returns from.having been lost at sea for 5 years and meets her children, they not knowing who she is. Marilyn's interaction with the children is coming straight from the heart.
Think she was a mom
@@TheFashionforward5 I read a long time ago that she had a baby boy when she was 16 but had to give him up for adoption. It was in a magazine article in the days before the internet.
I watched a documentary (the auction one) and that she had many miscarriages.. And cos of that Arthur Miller divorced her.
Marilyn never had any children she wanted some but couldn't sad she would of been a great loving mom!
The closest kid was Joe DiMaggio son
This is one of Marilyn's best performances using her real voice.
She is really a great actress, I don't know why people say she was terrible at acting. Maybe she wasn't the best actress in the world, but definitely had talent! And her voice is amazing too, I just can't stop loving her, gosh. Rest in peace beauty. ❤
😍Ikr
I totally agree with you!
Yea, and she's the most famous actress of all time..who else can claim that title? NO ONE.
Agreed.
roberto lopez Jayne Mansfield is not as well known as Marilyn. It’s not even close lol.
When you’re too beautiful, people lose their abilities to see your talent, hear your voice and think straight with sense... basically, they become stupid.
Jennifer Altan_
No, predators treat humans they don’t respect as prey, which is what many many males did to Marilyn. I certainly wouldn’t have “become stupid” and forgotten her humanity and talents because she’s beautiful. Most women wouldn’t.
Jennifer Altan_ it’s an awful feeling to not be seen
@@AddBowIfGirl Well she also banged a bunch of married men including the president of the united states lol.
@@Jiff321its weird being a woman sometimes, to be objectified majority of your life can make you feel like there are only certain things you can do and ways you can act. Trust me, I'm sure she didnt feel great about alot of things in her life. Sooo your comment even with the lol continues to place her in a light that wasn't true to her heart. Sleeping with people doesnt define who you are, and frankly the men should have stayed by their wife side instead of seeking Marilyn out, to objectify her.
@@420Ldub Oh stop it lol.
It's totally understandable why she suffered so much: her whole career was reduced to her sexuality and people couldn't understand how much their behavior could affect her as a person. Possessed, sexualized and captivated by an industry who lead their employees to extensive hours of work with no peace and rest, nor respect.
She was a talented and beautiful person.
I’m tryna figure out why folks STILL RECORDING THO 😳😳😳 This shyt is NUTS at this point straight up 🤦🏽♀️....Folks ask for their PRIVACY back and mutha fuckas still going AFTER they learned the TRUTH so tf the problem NOW....Like get off folks clit already damn...it’s like closing somebody in that’s tryna LIVE just like the same people who are LIVING....Shyt not gonna end well I can feel it bc I play a lot of games but I ain’t NEVER been one....Go bully somebody else seriously, I’m vindicated so move on damn 😐
She used her sexuality to start her entire career. Shouldn't be surprised people didn't take her seriously. And this is simply coming from a huge Monroe fan. She's incredible but the facts and the facts unfortunately.
Jeanette a woman should be able to express their own sexuality and still be taken seriously
@@brendanmorin9935 I never said she shouldn't. I'm an extremely sexually expressive woman myself but when you use it specifically to jumpstart your career, you're downgrading yourself to what you can offer men. It was highly un-feminist as everything about her career was sex-appeal to the male eye. Not surprising given the time period.
@@nette9836 But remember Marilyn was making a living for herself at a time when many woman didn't. She was an independent woman. Marilyn also started her own production company which was unusual in the 1950's. The thing is that 20th Century Fox saw her as a marketable sexpot and Marilyn wanted to succeed. It's not difficult to imagine that she felt elated by the attention and adoration of the fans after growing up with no real family and having been sent to live in an orphanage and then a series of foster homes. No one wanted to keep her and give her any stability or security. I'm sure the sexual abuse she experienced during that time also contributed to her feeling the her looks and body were all anyone wanted. But she worked hard on improving in acting and took it very seriously. In a few of her early roles Marilyn got to play against the sexy blonde type she was usually cast as. In Don't Bother to Knock, she played a character that is mentally disturbed. In Clash By Night, her character works in a cannery and rough houses with her boyfriend. Even her Paula character in How To Marry A Millionaire isn't a very sexual one. Marilyn's worst role was the popular The Seven Year Itch. Her character didn't even have a name and clearly she was highly exploited just as a sex symbol. I think Marilyn would have been much better off without being in that film. That film made it difficult for her to get different sorts of roles. But she did follow it with Bus Stop which was actually a big contrast. Sadly Marilyn was never able to play the parts she wanted.
This to me was one of the most beautiful she's ever looked. The dolled up looks are pretty. But seeing her in more casual clothes, toned down makeup, and more natural expressions she looks and SOUNDS phenomenal. Her voice is so baleful and gentle.
One of her better acting parts. She was gorgeous here.
She was extremely nervous about this role because it required her to wear very little makeup. She said it made her feel naked.
@@berniemiller1580 back when movie makers still cared about applying believable levels of makeup
True! It isn't like that any more.
I loved her in don't bother to knock and that other one (can't remember the name) where she worked in a sardine factory.
@@berniemiller1580 Awe :( I wonder why she was so insecure when she was so gorgeous
i wish it was her and her son. Singing together and sharing good moments. She always felt she would have a baby boy.
In heaven they doing it now!♥️😭🌈🙏
@Dark Light you're so sick that you're replying to everyone on this video with the same stupid comment thinking that you're insulting a woman that died 60 years ago. Get a life stupid incel!
Dark Light dude stfu already
Dark light is one of the majority of typical men who keep getting rejected & dejected by women for good reasons & them come on CZcams video comment sections to vomit their self fancied misogyny to feel like a perfect man, sucking blood out of women.
Actually its a blessing that Monroe didn't have a male child...what if he would have turned out to be this Dark Knight guy..one pig not born one pig less in the world. Patriarchy ruined lives with misogyny, feminism is the only way out
@@barnaliadhikary9421 yep and you're just like him, only that you're a woman and feminism is your self cure answer for your limited world view.
her voice was so beautiful 😍😍😍
That's not her singing voice. Another singer dubbed it.
@Dark Light just STFU 😡😡 try saying to ur mom like that..GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE,
not true she sang in all movies that she made with singing part.
F. Angus - Um, you do know she was a talented singer right? That is indeed her voice.
@@FAngus-ly8lk How is it not her voice? It sounds like her speaking voice. I have heard her sing, and it is her voice. Stop being jealous.
She looks absolutely stunning here! She looks better here then when she’s all dressed up.
One just can't take their eyes off her. What a little force of nature she was.
It has been observed that no matter how a scene was lighted, Monroe had the quality of drawing all the light to herself. In her brief scenes here, surrounded by actors much more experienced, she is all we can look at. Do we see her through the prism of her legend? Perhaps not; those who saw the movie in 1950, when she was unknown, also singled her out
www.rogerebert.com/reviews/great-movie-all-about-eve-1950
She was actually mimicking Betty Grable. There is an interview with Celeste Holm I believe her name is, and she said that marilyn was obsessed with Betty's facial expressions.
@@puurrrr Seeing as though Monroe and Grable had completely different facial expressions, it is obviously not something Marilyn developed, if at all.
Her mistake was getting involved with the Kennedys.
I know right? Someone like Marilyn could easily have found a prince, duke, count, lord, baron, etc. and been set for life!
Amen.
Kind of agree although its rumored that John Kennedy asked to be introduced to her with I'm guessing an idea of her immediate attraction to him and power... His only intention was to take advantage of her. She somehow also became involved with Robert. Marilyn wasn't a total loner, she had friends who took her in and let her live with them as family and she was close to her half-sister (same mother) ... yet it seems she felt so alone. Lastly, Marilyn had a power that the u.s. gov wasn't happy with her having, she was the most popular and therefore most influential person in the u.s. at that time, which made her 'dangerous' especially by today's standards, no entertainer is allowed to become single-handedly as influential these days ...
No, women had a hard wrap even without scandal. Even if you were rich. It was the fifties
Yes u are right those Kennedy 👎 she was very beautiful they just used her in my eyes. Rest in peace.💓💕🌹💐🌷🌹🌹💐💐💐💐 We miss u💋
Good grief, she's actually playing that guitar. Her finger placements are correct.
I’ve heard rumors she insisted on learning the part to make it as authentic as possible. Don’t know if it’s true or not but still cool to think about
true, i play guitar too, wow didn't lnow she knew it
dynodish she was multitalented. Definitely an underestimated actress of her time.
She’s so talented
Her bass line with her thumb and chord placements are bang on so shes definitely playing the tune that matches the soundtrack.
marilyn Monroe was special. No just for her beauty but her intellect, kindness, vulnerability and mystery.
What I love about this video is her voice. Its different... more like her real voice. 💖
That's what I was thinking , no sexy, whispering voice .
Angie Taylor my thoughts exactly!
I thought her accent sounded almost Australian...
Maybe not.
Angie Taylor what was her real voice was like?
rhoads' girl - She used that “sexy” whisper voice because she had a stutter. It was her own technique she used to mask it and speak more fluently.
i don't understand how one person can be so physically beautiful.
Me too!
Same!

Just tucking in her shirt.😍
shame hollywood underestimated her talents as a serious actress
Marilyn with long hair & jeans looks stunning! 😻
I thought she never looked more beautiful, than here long hair bluejeans boots.
Dark Light you’re so fucking weird. You’ve probably never touched any in your life.
Yall need help.
She’s more than a beautiful body, she was kind, sensitive and so strong to keep smiling through all the horrible abuse she faced
Yeah, but I'd say that is a wig she is wearing for that scene, though itdoesstill look good, allthe same. Fact is, she was not a natural platinum blonde. She is abottleblonde ie the peroxide bottle got a good work out to maintain that platinum shadeof pale blonde. Ifyou dye your hairblonde usingperocide fromyourdarker hair, like she had, you simply cannot grow it that long and healthy looking. It just all dries out, splits and breaks off. You have to have it short to look good. But, even if shecould have grown itthwt long, even constantly bleaching it blonde, it would have taken years to get it that long and lush if it was her own hair, not a wig.
@@annakev8088 nah you're weird you fucking whiteknight, it's called a compliment, too bad the world has brainwashed you into thinking you can't say anything about women

And play the guitar which is more important.
This proves she’s a fine actress If given the correct role! I wish she had more opportunities before she passed :(
I love her jazzy voice. Nice to see her in jeans.
No matter what she's doing, singing, dancing, walking talking or posing, Marilyn never fail to leave me sitting speechless... Truly Hypnotizing.
Thanks for posting this... '"💖"'
Interesting Marilyn really learned the guitar cords and sings very pretty. I think she was a better singer than some people give her credit. The songs were limited in most of her comedy style movies but she has a lot of range and can hit high notes. I love her soft voice. I can imagine her doing a jazz/pop style album in the later 60s like Anne-Margret or Diana Dors did. She could do anything she was so talented, she always reminds me of Dolly Parton . God bless her.
Over 30 songs total in her movies. How's that limited?
@@Badfingerbabe777 i know who Diana Dors was. I thought you were a bit naive in your statement. Had she lived, her career was destined to expand. But it is what it is. Most movies back then were light hearted. The music reflects it. She would've been given more serious parts but singing and musicals are generally not serious movies. So again, this is all we have, but she did have some good tunes that I thought she showed a lot of talent singing in some movies
So that's really her singing? She sounds amazing!!
exactly you are spot on - I like Dolly Parton because of her style, her turbo tramp style and her talent, same goes for Ann- Margret - all this nonsense sexy girls have no talent - Dolly Parton even sings about Jesus and moves a whole gospel church!
Yes, she was pretty and had a few skillsbut Iwouldn't compareherto Dolly Parton because Dolly ismore than just a prettyface and petite pretty figure that camefrom a hard life and could ding and play. Msny prople don't realise it but Dolly Parton has written a lot of famous modernsongs that other famous modern singers sang as major hits. You justcannotcompare these two women. The only things they have incommon are being blonde, attractive,in showbiz and coming from humble poorbackgrounds. Marilynis the prettiest but I think Dollyis the more artisticallygifted one.
She lights up around children. I really feel a child of her own would have made her wayyyy less depressed. Poor thing!
Tomorrow is Marilyn's 93rd birthday. In all those years, no woman was made like her.
No shit. Get off your romanticized cloud.
Anna Nicole Smith was pretty darn close!
Ewww Anna Nicole was nasty! At least Marilyn was classy and sweet.
@@HjCrawford only bcos she had plastic surgery to look like her..duh!
George Vreeland Hill no women is made like anyone. Stop comparing us, everybody is unique and beautiful.
Definitely playing the guitar. She had so many talents.
There's this book I'm reading where some of the chapters talk about multiplying your God given talents and gifts I'm a big believer that while in your mother's womb her mom either had things spoken over her so whatever things that were spoken to her mom it resignated to Ms Norma Jean now she dropped out of high school so that may have held her back but back then the war was starting and from what I take she's working at some factory out in California I do believe also that everything happens for a reason Romans 8:38 All things work together for the good to those who are called according to his purpose people may read that and think what's this got to do with my career I believe we're shaped by the situation we experience we go through or face things happen for a reason while at times with Monroe you wonder why things like that happen to someone like her temptations were real for her so she had no structure surrounding her
Marilyn's voice and playing guitar was sweet...💙💜💜💜

Canada, on a driving trip & went into the hotel where Robert Mitchum & Marilyn Monroe stayed while filming "The River of No Return"! After leaving the hotel, we saw the only "triple
rainbow" that we ever saw in our lives, engulfing the entire town! That whole area is awesome & should not be missed!

Happy Birthday Marilyn! 6-1-1926 💋
My mother took me to see this movie when I was a little girl. It made a great impression on me. I kept singing the theme song about the river of no return while I reenacted her scenes in our basement. The Misfits with Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe is quite memorable. The scene where Marilyn Monroe bounces the rubber ball connected to the paddleboard was another scene I tried to reenact as a nine year old. I believe that was Clark Gable’s last movie. Mom also took me to see the memorable movie Niagara with Joseph Cotton and Marilyn Monroe. Thank you mom for introducing me to the world of cinema. Thank you Marilyn for your wonderful contribution to the arts.

This is the first movie I saw as a 5 year old kid at the drive in back in the 50’s.Its been my favorite movie of all time.I know it’s just a B western but when I saw her up on that giant screen for the first time even as a kid I couldn’t believe how beautiful she was.I love her singing.I think the Hollywood studios missed out on her singing ability they were to busy trying to make her look like the dumb blonde.I wish she would have made a lot more records back in the 50’s.I really thought when she recorded Kiss from Niagara that it should have been big on the radio but the studio did not promote it.The good lord definitely broke the mold after he made her. There is no woman in Hollywood that has ever come close to her.Never will either.

@Marilyn Cwik Excellent recommendations, but you forgot Niagara. Rose Loomis is one of the great screen characters largely because of the way Marilyn acted her.
@Marilyn Cwik I love How To Marry A Millionaire as well. Marilyn had wonderful comedic timing as Paula. I feel like The Seven Year Itch didn't give Marilyn anything to do, the character was only there to be lusted over by the older married guy.
