- We got a chance to talk to Rally Racer Skyler Howes to find out more about what makes Team Honda’s all-new CRF450 Rally so special, after a dominating performance at the 2024 Dakar Rally. He offers details on some of the unique equipment they use for rally racing and key features that separate the rally bike from the CRF450R motocrosser it's based on. Howes also details a few of the personalized mods he makes to his rally bike that allow him to race comfortably for two weeks straight over 5,000 km of grueling terrain. Riding a bike fast off-road is hard enough, reading a road book while racing others must be super intense. Hats off to you guys.
You meet the nicest people on a Honda 😎
Nice one Dude! Brilliant walkthrough… “For those about to ride,we salute you”…🤟
Thanks for sharing all these tech and safety stuffs wish you a successful race ahead
That bike sounds so freakin cool
Can I go ride there? Where is this? I’ll be doing 25mph while Skylar does 100mph past me. LOL 😂
Sure you can! It's Amargosa Dunes in Nevada.
Interesting. Are the power, torque and weight specs confidential? I would’ve appreciated a light on them.
We hear ya! Here are the ones that have been provided: www.advpulse.com/adv-news/crf450-rally-meet-hondas-next-gen-factory-dakar-bike/

Those tanks!
It's my birthday and I wants it!!!!
Is this a production bike? Honda will make a squillion if it is. CRF450 service intervals are too short hopefully this has longer
We wish! This is Honda's Rally bike exclusively built for their factory racers.
For those who are lucky enough to have tried riding a proper rally bike, I wonder how the aerodynamics is compared to, you know, a regular old dual-sport on the road at average speed of like 60 mph...
Whether the rally screen is too tall to have clean air over the helmet or if it is such that there's an actual bubble of air going over the helmet? (Or my guess which would be that air is hitting somewhere between mouth and forehead height?)
34 liters ? Wow that's like 9 gallons of gas.
Gallon? We don't do that here
Freakin monster energy poison cancer water all over everything.
