- A fantastic days fishing on the Rio Gallegos, Argentina. Some long awaited rain in the upper reaches, mixed with gale force wind which stirred up the silt created spate like conditions. The resident fish perked up up and our Argentinian friend Gustavo found a pod of running fish in a shallow run. Fish measured 85cm by 54cm. My trusty RJC 13' #8 fly rod did the business again.

Also my cousin has fished down there a number of times and had some successful trips. What an amazing place!!.

That's my dream 😑 but unfortunately, I dont think I'll ever afford to go to such a magical place to catch sea run browns . Those people are so fortunate in life.

@@jpsflyfishing yes I am familiar with the story of how the sea trout were introduced to this part of the world. Paul Young did a great video down there and caught a sea trout of around the 20lb mark, well worth a look!! Given the dearth of Atlantic salmon here in the UK now, wouldn't it be great if the compliment could be returned!! Cheers and tight lines, Peter.
