An explanation: Google (CZcams's owner ofc) had a dispute where they are threatening to remove all Danish music from CZcams if the revenue that Danish artists receive currently from being streamed on CZcams isn't lowered by around 70%. Unofficial ESC content is suddenly far more difficult to watch in Denmark and many videos are now blocked. If this dispute continues, they threaten to remove any content featuring Danish singers, songwriters, producers and composers signed to major labels for every country, which would be the worst case scenario.
I think this is VERY crappy corporate behaviour and it frustrates me that a whole country cannot watch most of my videos, but most of all, the one I was planning on making about that nation's songs! So I've decided that I should take pretty extreme measures to make this ranking visible in Denmark even if it has to feature no sound at all. I will reupload this with audio if and when Google decides to fix their shit, but for now, I hope it stays up.
If you are in Denmark and struggling to view unofficial ESC videos, consider using a proxy if you wanna keep interacting with the community and watching/posting videos! I unfortunately can't cater to Danish viewers by selectively muting songs because which content is being blocked is super random, but I hope this advice helps.
Anyway, *my thoughts* on the songs: Denmark usually sends pretty simple, maybe even basic songs, but sometimes they can be so incredibly sweet and charming that I just love them. (Me revisiting Believe Again a few weeks ago: "What a basic pop rock song, only lame 2009 me would care about it, it's fine, I guess." Me listening to Believe Again now: "I WANNA BELIIIIEVE IN SOMETHING BIGGER THAAAAAN THE TWO OF UUUUUSSS 😭❤️😭❤️😭❤️😭") Their songs do pretty well for a reason, because they're super sweet and accessible, even if they don't always appeal to me.
Regarding 2021... I liked Yes, but Ben and Tan are fantastically awkward as a duo and it figures they don't wanna compete together again next year. It's a shame they never got their chance to go to ESC but hopefully Denmark can find a new artist (or artists) who can really bring their song alive in the EMOTIONALLY BARREN WASTELAND of 2021. :)
Now that we're back on schedule after that brief interlude, the next country in this series is indeed Moldova!

I couldn't even imagine that CZcams would threaten someone so seriously. I'm very sorry for the guys from Denmark, I hope everything will turn out in a good way for them. :"(
    Anyway, the video was cool.
Denmark is quite ordinary country for me. I don't have a clear winner among all Danish songs, they are all good.
I like "Yes", "New tomorrow" and "Should've known better" enough.
I'm very pleased with the release of each of your videos.

Thank you, I appreciate your comments!! 🥰 Yes, the situation does suck but I'm hoping a reasonable agreement is reached soon and it doesn't involve sacrificing how much Danish artists earn from being streamed on CZcams :( I'm probably gonna try and stream their music on other platforms more often from now on.

@nesnahck Hi, there. Yes, it really sucks, most of my videos are now blocked in Denmark regardless of whether they feature Danish music. They're doing their best to apply pressure to Koda through any way possible. If you want to interact with the YT ESC community and keep watching videos, my best recommendation is to use a proxy server for now, but unfortunately there is no clear solution :(

it's in my pinned comment but if it's too long: google has blocked lots of music-related videos in denmark, including esc videos, and threaten to soon remove all music by danish artists if their demands to reduce the payment danish artists receive from youtube streams are not met.

Not yet, but maybe if they don't come to an agreement 🙄 I should hope it doesn't go that far, because the group represents Danish artists in this dispute, Koda, have said it was a weird action to take because progress was being made in the negotiations, allegedly.
I'm surprised no one is freaking out yet but it took me a while to understand the situation fully. Hopefully Google is just being dramatic to force Koda to agree to their garbage terms.

eurovision gal I don’t really understand it but luckily there are some people who sort of do so...

      @eurovisiongal7007  Před 3 lety

@@wystxrr they make it kind of complicated on purpose because it makes Google look reeeeeaally bad, but the gist of it is they're being dramatic bc they want to make more money off artists at their expense, they suck, wait and see how it affects you, but not too much for now.

Basically the videos are blocked for us, everyone in Denmark are so angry and frustrated, some Danish youtubers live with making music and put only on CZcams and now they can't. It's so sad honestly

Denmark is a country I usually really enjoy to see in Eurovision! They have their certain "Danish" style for their songs, which works really well for me. Great Eurovision country, definitely one of my favourites! Here's my opinion!
    20. 2007 - 2/10
To be honest, this might be the only really bad entry that Denmark has sent in the new millennium. Obviously, this one is a generic and annoying song with some annoying vocals. Not good, totally deserved to not qualify for the final.
    19. 2004 - 5/10
So this is somewhat generic and forgettable. That's really it.
    18. 2012 - 5,5/10
A simple song, might be too simple for my taste.
    17. 2017 - 6/10
She's got a great voice, and I understand why she qualified, but the song really isn't anything special.
    16. 2006 - 6,5/10
Interesting twist entry. Twist really isn't my music genre, but I've got a soft spot for Chubby Checker's "The Twist" and "Let's Twist Again," so I'm not putting this one lower. Still, I feel like Denmark could have improved there.
    15. 2002 - 7,5/10
Did not deserve to be last. This song isn't bad at all.
    14. 2019 - 8/10
Sweet entry, some ideas, like the big chair and language mix, were very well executed. Overall a good entry.
    13. 2011 - 8/10
Nice pop-rock song. That's really it, I just like the song.
    12. 2018 - 8/10
The viking theme was wonderfully done, the song also fits the theme perfectly. No wonder this one ended up high, the whole song was executed really well.
    11. 2005 - 8/10
Good boyband. The song is catchy and it completely deserved the top 10 placement.
    10. 2010 - 8/10
I love the chemistry between them two, it looked really great on stage. As for the song, I used to like it a lot less, but it has grown on me thanks to verses, which are awesome.
    9. 2008 - 8/10
Ayy, what a fun and catchy entry!
    8. 2014 - 9/10
This song is basically 2005 entry, just faster and with a way more catchier chorus.
    7. 2013 - 9/10
A deserved winner. The song has a certain sound to it, it feels very good and the structure was brilliantly pulled off. I also liked the performance, very good.
    6. 2020 - 9/10
Another catchy and fun entry. One of my favourites from 2020, I'm sure this would have done well!
    5. 2000 - 9,5/10
Amazing winners, awesome song. This song really speaks for itself, I mean, it won! What else there is to say?
    4. 2016 - 9,5/10
Really underrated, I have a feeling this entry tried to capture 2005's and 2014's spirit, but it ended up being unnoticed. These guys have great chemistry, their vocals are great and the song is catchy, with a good chorus and good lyrics!
    3. 2001 - 10/10
Damn, they nearly won on home ground. And it would be deserving, as I love this song. It's hard for me to explain, there's just something that works so damn well in this song, maybe it's the lyrics, maybe it's the instrumental, maybe the catchy chorus, who knows? At the end of the day, I just love it.
    2. 2015 - 10/10
Always loved this one, I've always seen it as a happy indie song, and indie is one of my favourite genres. The guitar riff is honestly one of the best riffs in Eurovision history. Gotta love how happy everyone looked on stage, it's hard not to crack a smile over this song. Probably in my top 5 of 2015, it was a very strong year, so I have to revisit it someday.
    1. 2009 - 10/10
My winner of 2009. Another indie-like song which succeeds in about every category of the song. Great instrumental? Check. Awesome lyrics? Check. A catchy and bloody amazing chorus? Check. I can't say much about it, it wasn't really underrated, considering that it got 13th place, but it still deserved higher for me. Love this to death.
By the way, I really hope everything sorts out for them. Denmark is a great country, filled with awesome music. It's even the birthplace of Lars Ulrich, and he is a music legend, so CZcams should really stop messing with them. I hope the Danish people can get back on track really soon, this situation is utterly ridiculous.
