Always good to give people tips but it's worth pointing out to people that you will make a mess if it's an open vent system and you haven't plugged it.
Allen, Happy new year to you and your family. I did not know this, thanks for sharing another very useful piece of information. Love watching your videos, I always learn something new from you. Please don’t stop 🙏. All the best. 👍👏
I assume I could use this method to swap a uni directional TRV that is on the return end for a bi directional one? I have TRVs that are hammering on five rads, very annoying!
Sometimes you can knock off the original nut and olive & keep the original tail. As you said. Unfortunately there's too many size tails these days and if you haven't the space or movement the above is definitely for me the way to go 👌

@@Will-rq9lw Happy new year.
Happy new year! I didn’t know this existed, I always wedged a Tupperware container underneath the valve and hoped for the best…
Hi Allen, whee did you get the blue plastic water guide thingy from
www.arctic-hayes.com/Catalogue/Servicing-Essentials/Drain-Down-Hoses/Radiator-Drain-Down-Kit-DT1
Does this work for both valve ends (both sides) as ive actually snapped the nib on the valve in the closed position
And dont want water to go all over

Never had any luck with Salus controls - bitten a few times and would never use them again.
They had big issues in the past, I have the Salus Smart Home and so far i really like it, It’s actually amazing what you can do with it.
What’s the blue mat called?

I wish you were my plumber
Be careful, some of the tails are slightly different size. May have to change it to fit new valve.
