I had never heard this song before not to mention the live version, however it has to be one of the best sounding bands I've ever heard! I've seen a lot from BB King to Metallica or Jimmy Buffett to Sheryl Crow and Skid Row. But Nothing I can think of compares to this. The lyrics are pretty damn cool to man. Rock on Kings of Leon!
I was first introduced to KOL's Youth and Young Manhood album from a musician friend of my Brothers' in Chicago in 2004. I saw the best club show ever in my life at the 9:30 Club in Washington DC in 2005 after their second record came out. DC Area resident since 2000. Like a dream. No other rock band has had the rythem of KOL.
this song live during the mechanical bull tour lasted a good 3 extra minutes while the crowd sang the oh's and the verse at the end solo once. best live band ever. never much spontaneity but you get the best sounding experience ever.
I'm so pissed, they didn't do it for Chicago during Mechanical Bull tour. I really hope they do for the Walls tour because I need to hear this live before I die. Speaks to my soul.
