After seeing who MeeMaw was in younger Sheldon’s life, I have to admit I’m even more satisfied seeing Sheldon remember her in such fondness and Amy commemorating such a person in his life by replicating a favorite recipe.
It really is a contrast to how he talked about her to how she was. To him, she wasn't a foul, mouth drunk gambler juggling multiple boyfriends at once. She was one of the sweetest people in his life who was always there for him when he needed her

Before watching Young Sheldon, my impression of George was always drunk and irresponsible, but it turned out to be entirely different. George was a real man who took a lot of hit for the family, and it's a shame they didn't appreciate him enough.
This isn't the exact same, but before my grandfather passed away he game me a super small bottle of cologne, and told me to only use it for special occasions. I was so heartbroken when he died, and that cologne got even more special to me. I told my girlfriend at the time about it, and she spent hours researching the shape and texture of the bottle, and found a big bottle of the exact cologne. I couldn't contain myself, I cried like a fucking baby because I knew it was my grandfather's favorite, and it made me feel like I had a special part of him with me all the time.
**I did end up marrying her! I wore the cologne, but it wasn't the one she got me. It was the last bit he gave me because I knew he would have loved her and it was my special way of having him there on our big day**

Actually, when I was a little boy, my grandmother showed me the game with the wool, but you don't take turns blowing, both people are blowing like crazy at the same time, one of the kids actually fainted, it was hilarious!

I can hang out with Amy for hours as I love a lot of the same things she likes: Medieval literature, Victorian Era, harp music (although I cannot play harp haha) and French movies. I used to sew and knit a lot so I get why she loves quilting. Like her, I have a Sheldon I put up EVERYTHING from.

I feel so bad for Amy. She was really passionate about her themed thanksgiving and put in a lot of time and thought and no one liked it :( it seemed like it would have been super cool if everyone tried to enjoy it as much as she did

This reminds me of the Dickens Christmas that I go to every year with my family and my mom's boss every year. It's held at a pioneer village that serves as an open-air museum and every year, they serve food accurate to what farmers in southern Ontario would eat at that time of year such as goose, root vegetables, and mincemeat pie. After dinner, they put on a small play. I'm a bit of a history buff, the food's good, and my family loves it to pieces, so I always enjoy going there.
Sheldon is so spiteful. I love when someone foils his Christmas plans.
I love that each time Sheldon thinks he had the upper hand in gift giving he gets his comeuppance in the sweetest way (thinking of when penny got him Leonard Nimoy's signature as well).

@ Sage k: THANK YOU SAGE. Finally. Someone agrees. I relate to Amy 100%. I love Victorian Era, Medieval literature, Pride and Prejudice, French movies, Renaissance choirs. Like how Amy loves quilting, I use to sew a lot and knit. I was always considered weird and was left out frequently in my childhood--I was left out all the way up to middle school and high school--even then I was considered weird when people did welcome me in.
I have a Sheldon in my life who I met online and we totally hit it off. He and I were hostile at first--a lot like Darcy and Lizzie in Pride and Prejudice. Yet one day he had feelings for me and considered me his equal---which I couldn't be happier

I don't get all the positive comments about them together. Sheldon is a psychological abuser, and Amy has low self esteem to have put up with a "relationship" completely void of all affection and physical touching and full of mocking derision and insults for literally YEARS before she even got her first kiss from him...........which was done out of angry spite, mocking her need for a romantic Valentine's day. Jim Parsons is a great actor and as a person seems like a nice guy, but the character of Sheldon is THE-WORST. I wonder about the psychological state of anybody who compliments these two's SERIOUSLY dysfunctional and psychologically abusive "relationship."

men; chimney sweep, sewer scavenging, rat catching, dog turd collecting (to sell for curing leather), corpse-robbing (stealing fresh bodies to sell to doctors wanting to learn more about human anatomy)
and most people (including children) worked 14 hour days. With so few days off and so little free time, I think a gathered family would be happy to have a chance to enjoy each others company while not being worked like dogs.

Lmao my 11 year old and I do the ball of wool thing when we're eating out, we use a napkin or a straw wrapper if the napkins are cloth. Keeps him entertained while we wait lol.
