I miss my 740. Bought it when it was 20 years old, detailed it, painted it, fixed the ac, replaced tires, inside crap from Florida sun, but it was a great car, over 200k miles ran perfect!
100% they're BBS. I can spot fakes from a mile off. Generally it's the 2 and 3 piece wheels that are copies and they're so easy to spot.
Yours has all the manufacturer's stamping etc which copies don't actually have.

I had an '88 760 Turbo in the 90's in the same color. I loved that car! I sold it to my stepsister who totally destroyed it in 6 months. Your excellent videos have reminded me about all that. Wish I could find another!

Would love to see a 1-2 hour long POV test drive, both a little city drive, a highway-cruise, country roads, night drive etc.. No talking or music, just drive.. To get it under the skin and feel the car, and what it is made for. :)

I miss 80’s European cars in that gray color with BBS wheels. A neighbor had an 86 Saab Turbo like that, but with sweet yellow fog lights too.

I had personally painted the brake disc holder with Hammerite and protected it against rust, do not know whether that brand is also known to you in Sweden, but it is unique for anything that could possibly rust such as garden fences, etc. to treat it with Hammerite , you can get it in all kinds of colors and it should be a lifetime of fun !!
Just look for Hammerite in CZcams there are enough videos to see what it does exactly etc.

And anything is great on this truly fabulous boxy beauty! The 740, like the 240 is a design icon of their time! Renovation, upgrading and detailing is awesome to watch. This car has more charisma than a car park full of new tacky BMWs

For the faded bumpers and handles, I recommend Motip Bumperblack. For all the rest of the plastic trim (windows), go for Motip satin black!

Putting on 40/40 springs does that, they are often level but the front wheel arch is cut up higer than the rear thus making it look much higher in the front, and that is why you should get like 60/40 instead :D nice to see someone taking care of an old Volvo. Cheers

I have a 1986 760 Turbo and have renewed BBS 287 wheels, and now waiting for custom-build screws ordered at www.bbs-racing.de Not cheap but super beautiful :-)
I subscribe because of the micra. And I learned a lot about doing stuff, repairing the car. And then I started to see the other videos. Like the old Golf.

I think those wheels fit the car perfectly because they are both from the same era, if you were to put a newer style of wheel it wouldn’t suit it.

Good Job you've done with those BBS rims, As a truck driver with my own truck and trailer I often loaded rims for various companies throughout Europe at BBS factory in Herbolzheim in Germany, sometimes in a container, which I then went to drop off in a container terminal in Rotterdam, Waalharbor or at the Europort.
Beautiful factory and from the waiting area you could look in the production hall, taking photos was strictly prohibited and that was a pity, but oké I could live with that, you do not want to risk the good contact and the transport contract that I had by taken sneaky pictures because I had to make a living from this kind of transport.

Fråga, har införskaffat mig en foamlance, testat den 2-3 gånger men tycker den drar alldeles för mycket medel och blandar jag i mer vatten blir det för svagt :/
Hur mycket medel/shampoo i dl använder du i videon? samt inställning på + - på själva lancen? :)
Du kan köra endast medel och öka inblandningen vatten. +/- anger inte ökat skum utan ökat vatten intag i blandningen. Så mindre vatten mer skum å visseversa. Dock kan man ibland behöva byta munstycket för att få rätt flöde. Lycka till.

A friend of mine priced the 2 piece bbs alloys for his volvo from a dealership. I'm sure they were about 1000 GBP each without tyres! And that was about 20 years ago
try getting chrome trim for the doors and the original small chrome blinkers and a raggar trappa
Try search for "volvo 740 epa" theres some cool ones, its a swedish thing where you can drive a changed car in 30 km/h. Some people really put their effort into them and they can look really good! Just a fun thing to look at if you want to😃

Any updates to the 740, how about a rear spoiler maybe therear& front bumper security stripes, that would add value & security to the car
