This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This Core Concept video focuses on Simone de Beauvoir's work of existentialist and feminist theory, The Second Sex, and specifically on her examination of the modalities of superiority, equality, and inferiority for men and women. Her existentialist stance involves rejection of either men or women making claims to being superior as a sex.

love this core concepts series :) they're great introductions to various works/philosophers.
Have thought this Simone de Beauvior series is especially interesting given her perspective as a woman.
