This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This Core Concept video focuses on Albert Camus' early work, The Myth of Sisyphus, and specifically on his discussion of authors who realize the absurd, but then employ it for what Camus terms "escape", the "leap", or even "philosophical suicide". In the process he considers and criticizes a number of different existentialist authors.

I wrote a paper on Paul Carter's poem "Sisyphus' Pet Stone" and used Camus as my main reference. Loved the topic.

Good comedians point us towards absurdism. Humour is our best weapon to survive.
