- It's day 2 of classroom setup! I can't believe how close we are to the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year! Today I focused on my classroom library, sorting my curriculum, and attempting to make a calm down corner. There are still a lot of changes to make (especially to my desk area) but I can finally see it slowly starting to come together! Enjoy!

I love to see how you put your room together. I teach first grade, as well. One thing that may be better is if you move the birthday closer to your calendar. Kids LOVE to see past and upcoming birthdays...it's a big daily thing and its another opportunity to practice months of the year. :)
I suggest a small bookshelf in the bathroom for tissues, paper towels, Clorox wipes, etc.
Maybe you could wrap the entire sink up in a tablecloth or something? Everything looks great.
Just found your channel and I'm loving your classroom setup videos so far! Just a few suggestions..
1. As someone who worked in 1st grade, you might want to see if you can have the children bring in extra clothes (in case or accidents, spills, etc.) and keep that in the bathroom on a shelf. As well as like wipes and things like that.
2. The calm down corner seems like it could be a hazard if a child is sitting down on the floor behind the door. (unless the space is larger than it appears on camera) It does look like if someone were to come in when the child was sitting there that they could get hit by the door. Also the sink being there could be an issue.
3. I wouldn't keep the manipulatives up above the cubbies as it doesn't allow the children to access them easily if they need them.

Looks so good so far! I didn’t notice a sink in the bathroom so I’m guessing you will need that one in the corner so they can wash their hands after using the bathroom. So odd that they didn’t just put the sink in that huge bathroom!
I think a table for a vip student someone who does good and class and dosent have to sit at their own desk 😊

I think u can put on a billeting board with google eyes look what we are learning so parents can see what they are learning when they come for conferences iep
I think buy a shelf that can go behind the toilet and put toilet paper air freshener and put a mirror in their have a drawer for first aid kit
Is photocopying the border an option to do bottom of your boards
A piece of advice would be not to keep any of those supplies in the bathroom, maybe back in the corner near the bookbag hooks or something where they can access them quickly and they won't get all yucky!
