ford focus 1.0 ecoboost (How much does STAGE 1 & STAGE 2 actually cost??….Plus MTEC BRAKES fitted!!)

Recently I’ve been asked how much certain performance parts have cost me, where I purchased them from and how much it has cost me to get my focus 1.0 ecoboost to almost Stage 2 complete.
In this video I share with my viewers how much each performance upgrade has cost me and the overall total cost of Stage 1 and Stage 2, incase your looking to do the same to your 1.0 ecoboost. Plus I get MTEC Performance Sports brakes fitted.

Cheers, was interesting to work out how much each Stage costs to complete. But in my opinion it’s well worth doing. The new MTEC performance brakes are spot on aswell 👌🏻

Thank for your vid, also watch out for puma speed parts, you will have to rework them to fit and they are poor quality for expensive parts 😏

👍🏻cheers. I’ve got the Pumaspeed Maxd Stage 2R remap installed on the car now, I can’t fault them as of yet as the car drives brilliant now.

Maybe I just good unlucky with them, I got the crossover pipe and the vacuum lines was full of weld so a drill bit sorted that out and the primary vac pipe come out at 90 degrees instead of 45 degrees so I had to make some pipe work up. Keep up your great work 👍

Im doing all this mate. What woukd u suggest with the blow off value. I understand the upgraded one u got i bit loud. Thinking just get a new standard one. Wht u think

The Turbosmart kompact dual port Bov is metal and really well made and the blow off sound (psssst) sounds brilliant. The standard Bov is made of cheap flimsy plastic and will fail in time. The uprated Turbosmart Bov won’t 👍🏻

I want a stage 1 but I am worried about the ib5 gearbox, also on cold start my engine makes a tapping noise when lightly accelerating idk weather this is normal or not so I dont want to push it haha

Yeah you can never be too sure with these engines, depends on the mileage and how it was looked after previously. Probably just best to keep it well serviced and maintained and the car should last awhile. I have a 6 speed gearbox on my car which is running stage 2 and I’ve had no issues. It’s been stage 2 for a year 👍🏻

@@EcoboostOwen Well the engine is only a year old from brand new because the last one was making a similar noise except louder and it was all the time and not at cold.

@gamesmaster1060 If the engines new shouldn’t be a problem remapping to stage 1 surely. Mine had done 35k miles when I had my stage 1 remap. These engines sound abit noisy anyhow. It’s upto you but it does make the car a better drive/quicker.

@@gamesmaster1060 in order to take the remap off and revert back to original you’d need a device like Superchips Blufin or Pumaspeed with your laptop. When I had a company come out to my house and put the stage 1 remap on I couldn’t change it back. But saying that I never needed to once it was installed, I had no issues.
