    What's best is a combination of trains and belts, if you're using farms then spread out your farms and use trains to transport them to crafting area via trains those crafting areas won't be flooded constantly and won't need to transport items superfast so it's a good idea to use belts there as it makes processing easier.

    Love the trains of create to move stuff across big lengths of terrain but in the smaller setups if the game cant handle all the belts, why not use the vanilla ways of moving stuff? Watching the video I cant stop myself and think that this is minecraft at the end of the day and vanilla minecraft is still in the game!
    People move stuff in vanilla minecraft in many ways; hoppers, minecarts, water streams, water columns, ice paths, shulkers, (or more technical ways like piston bolts and shulkers unloaders) all of these are used in massive amounts of items and they dont reduce fps or tps if managed correctly. All of this combined with the create machines could mean an even greater and faster way of doing stuff!

      @@Spentaneous Don't use things that stop belts on the sushi lines then, there are many options for passive pickup of items. The ideal state of a normal belt is to be saturated end to end with items so resources are available and instantly restocked at every point, the ideal state of a sushi belt is to be recirculating at the highest possible speed for passive pickup to restock random machines it passes. Trains can achieve a similar concept at greater expense, and would be much better applied to long distance bulk transport with great distance between supply docks.

    • @Spentaneous

    if ur not using water streams with ice and launchers, ur genuinely doing it wrong in most cases .... unless ur in a server with autoclear or a mod that autoclears theres no reason not to like its objectively better

    • @xanderkruger4904
      @xanderkruger4904 Před 9 měsíci

      ive been building with create for yrs, and i ONLY use belts in very niche cases where i need to transfer power somewhere weird .... i cant even remember the last time ive used them for any item transfers. like a water stream with packed (and ESPECIALLY blue ice) is even quicker than belts unless ur cranking near max speed to them which eats power

    • @xanderkruger4904
      @xanderkruger4904 Před 9 měsíci

      u can use the weakest power source imaginable on the launcher as long as its just quick enough, and the water is free and exponentially less laggy. the scalability is pretty much infinite

    • @xanderkruger4904
      @xanderkruger4904 Před 9 měsíci

      similar to how old waterwheels were with soul sand, u can also just use them completely with little to no ice and later just add it in to make it more seamless and quick

      @xanderkruger4904 Před 9 měsíci +1

      its even objectively easier to build a full on filtering storage system, just have water looping around that runs over smart chutes with filters. bam. it just works like skyrim.

    Yeah so what your basically saying is... well common sense.. don't use belts for long distance. Basically anyone with common sense would know if you need to transfer over long distances use something like a train that can haul massive amounts over long distances. Belts are never efficent over long distances.
    however your example around 2:22
    is also just as inefficent. You're wasting stacks and stacks of iron and other resources to make those tracks, let alone the trains for such minimal distance, PLUS the trains in that example never reach top speed, so while you can say its "most efficent" thats not really a high margin.

      I don't know if I'd call it wasting resources though since we csn just make Infinite xD
