I feel like Keanu Reeves couldn’t pull off the funny charismatic side of Spike, but he could probably do the brooding well
The only person I thought could do spike justice is dead........
#BrandonLee
I reckon Josh Hartnett could pull it off
Really, I think it's the other way around. And Spike was never really funny (At least not intentionally anyway), he had a razor-sharp wit. With good direction, I think Keanu could've pulled it off. The parts where I think Keanu failed in the later movies of The Matrix series are the ones where he had to appear dispassionate and/or brooding. It looked very one-dimensional to me.
@Geralt of Trivia Constantine is one. John Wick is another. And you're forgetting that he is an actor. As needed, he can _act_ witty; he is charismatic from the very beginning.
@Geralt of Trivia Yeah, it's not that good of a movie. I'm actually partial to the TV show and the Hellblazer comics. But that's not because of Keanu. I thought he situated himself into the role of John Constantine pretty well; the director had an entirely different ideas compared to the comics. Anyway, I'm getting side-tracked. I hope you understood my original point though.
Fun fact: Vincent is voiced by Timmy Turner's dad
He finally hit puberty
@@newshade3298 what are you talking about
He also voiced Cowboy Andy.
DINKLEBERG
GORDY!!! THE JANITOR FROM NED'S DECLASSIFIED!
😱
I'M SHOCKED AND AMAZED!
Fun Fact: The English Voice Actors of Spike, Jet and Faye are in the Intro
5:27 Beau Billingsley (Jet Black)
5:30 Wendee Lee (Faye Valentine)
5:35 Steven Blum (Spike Spiegel)
@Lain Steve Blum is also Vincent in Advent Children and I'm pretty sure he'll be Vincent in the Remake just like how Beau played Barrett in Advent Children as well.
@@balabanasireti A couple of Months late but are you feeling better now that you know when FF7 Remake is coming out?
This has been a rough fun ride watching you guys, but I just hope you appreciate this show when it's gone. Because there isn't another like it.
@Lain Yeah for example Texhnolyze and Serial Experiments Lain
@@Primelight gundam thunderbolt takes a huge inspiration from bebop
One of the best Anime soo far. 👌👌👌
@Lain bebop on a philosophical level is much deeper than you're giving it credit for
Firefly?
Spike's "death" was foretold way back in Episode 3. Go back and have a look at the black and white movie playing right behind Spike as he's walking through the casino. It has subtitles that say something like "Only a samurai can kill him like this." That's total foreshadowing of how Vicious would fatally wound him in their final fight.
Should have done it in three parts. You skip way too many important and funny scenes.
Interesting 🤔
4:43 God, Spike new how to play it loose. By making the hostage taker believe he didn't care if the old lady lived or died, he made himself the target. In that split half-second, that's all a good shooter needs to put a round through the hostage taker.
Gotta admit, it was a pretty bad stance for the criminal. Because he didn't use the lady as a literal shield, his entire center mass was exposed to Spike's shot. Hell, a headshot wouldn't be impossible, but center mass is always the best bet.
Okay genius.
I can't imagine thinking this much about this
@@i_so_late but that's what Spike did. He played the criminal. That's why Spike is so special. He makes the best decisions in the moment but when it comes to strategizing he says fuck it
On my second rewatch of Cowboy Bebop and just finished the film for the first time. The animation is somehow even better than the series, probably due to a higher budget. It's great to have one last hurrah with the crew.
You're gonna carry that weight.
Movie animations are always better than the series. They are movies after all
Cowboy Bebob is just amazing and beautiful show and the movie is also very well done. These reactions to them went up and down. Some where really good and some where bad. But in everyone of them Rana was awesome. :)
That opening title sequence is like what would happen if Ralph Bakshi made anime.
The opening animation features the three US voice actors in cameo
I remember watching Knockin' On Heaven's Door in the theater.
10:14 We all do, Nahid.
13:58 Big Shot!
15:49 That fight between Spike and Elektra is great. 'I love the kind of woman who can kick my ass.' :)
19:15 "Not her jaw." That was funny and also a little bit sad. Glad to see that Rana could month ago make fun of her situation.
is that the bad guy? " cause he's bad " me af whenever a bad guy is dripping swag
this makes too much sense lol
I love he pointed that the intro takes place in the 90s when the show take place in the future
Fun Fact: in the opening the guy with the sunglasses doing sort of karate is the actual voice actor of Spike
0:52 The small sprinkles of love she gives him are cute
Jesus, there's not a second where they're NOT talking over everything. I mean, I know they probably have the subs on but, for crying out loud...
Steven Dunn watch the movie on ur own if you want no talking😂
Jay they shouldn’t act surprised when people complain they miss stuff then. Bunch of idiots talking over dialogue like it isn’t important.
11:27 Lighters like these actually exist. They're technically considered self defense weapons and I really want one. Hint, hint Santa.
rana so pretty
How did the normies not notice that throughout the cowboy bebop series Spike’s hair actually gets longer
It's December 17 and Rana got her jaws unwired a week ago but it'll be more than a month before we see reactions without her teeth clenched on CZcams. :-(
You know they did this reaction like a month ago
@@ronniedeezy4831 I know, but that's when she first got them wired. You could tell because she's still very uncomfortable. The Doctor Who reactions were made after each episode aired this past month and she gets better at talking each week.
Original is on movie theater 2001-2002 but cancel...time twin tower 9/11...time i was 18 years old
The guy that got shot at 21:45. Was that Shou Tucker?
I'm triggered by Micky using Appa as a back pillow
Again, Spike isn't confirmed dead, it's open ended
You better get familiar with Shogi, because that's gonna come up in Naruto a bit
I'd say Jon Snow and John Wick are Vincent Volaju-Looking Guys
Spike survived being shot square in the chest and that just adds to my reasoning that he would've survived the Vicious confrontation
While Shinichiro Watanabe did say he could be alive or dead. He also made some jokes later on about people who think that he's still alive. "I think people who watch [the ending] and think that Spike is asleep are probably right... just sleeping." Could he have survived? Maybe. It is very likely? Not with those wounds.
I think the joke is more on the sleeping part, I think he's very much unconscious from the bout, but he has endured far worse than a gunshot to the arm, a knife in the shoulder and a cut to the stomach. Man was sliced in the neck, thrown out of a church window onto stairs below and any of the glass shards and rubble from his grenade falling on top of him, call me hopeful but I don't think Vicious' attack was enough to bring Spike down
There's no reason to think Spike survived, neither from a thematic perspective (as a perfect closure to his character arc) nor from a meta-narrative one (the lyrics of Blue). The show ended the way it did to give Spike's departure a bit of subtlety and respect, not to leave things open. I don't get why people are so stubborn when it comes to this subject.
Luckee Strikee It’s not stubbornness if the creator themselves doesn’t know if Spike dies, that means it is open ended
@@dannybob42 you tend to say whatever people want to hear when they dont leave you alone about something.
Patreon people, did they have a pist show discussion video for Bebop?
Nah
that intro is kino af.
You guys should watch Lupin |
the 3rd, both the series and the movies. It’s similar to cowboy bebop but has more on the fun aspect side
Watch Spirited Away or Akira next
this is why i don't goto movies with friends... i have no friends
I dont do hw i just watch stuff - lol this channel in a nutshell
The movie dosn’t belong to TV series or between episodes. It’s the same member with an individual story. At least in this story no one will leave or die after this story.
0:05 "Who's excited?!" "Me..." :) 1:43 Spike did not die. 2:24 Rana: "I like space." :D
7:41 Vincent Volaju is a very cool looking character.
9:00 A weird thing is that one of the moments I remember the most from the first time I saw this movie was that self warming noodle thing. I though it was really cool and also something that would be handy to be.
23:00 Spike betrayed Shiva.
23:12 is the best moment... Why is homeboy smiling in the middle? haha wtf
Cowboy Bebop!

Damn forgot about the movie so I guess 2 more weeks till the Naruto reactions
There already doing them
@@ronniedeezy4831 yea I don't have patreon
I guess the better description is until I see them
BTW idk who suggested you watch this after the show kinda took the blow of losing spike out. Just saying
There are two strong reasons to watch the movie after the show: 1) It was made and originally broadcasted after the show, so that's how it was meant to be watched, and 2) Knowing what happens to Spike makes you value his presence more while enveloping the movie in a veil of melancholy, kinda like watching the show a second time. Personally I think they're stronger arguments than "it isn't the correct chronological order" or "you lose shock value when Spike gets hurt".
Rana even with a broken jaw id still wanna hear you moan
