So I am doing an experiment and I was wondering on your opinion on wether or not it would be better to have a 1998 JOHN DEERE 9300 with dules for a 1 tractor farm or a 76 JD 4630 with rear dules? Please answer back.
around here deep tillage is used to breakup the hard pan and to improve drainage. drainage works both ways. to get rid of water and to allow water up from the subsoil during drought conditions
DMI has parabolic shanks which are more aggressive on covering residue. The big ripper more or less has what is considered a MRD shank. (Minimum Residue Disturbing)
Nice video! The seagulls bring back fun memories when i was a kid plowing. What do you use to video with? I just got a Go Pro 5 and am starting to get familar with it.
I was also wondering what is better for farming a ripper or a disk, please answer back

What's the whine noise in the 89? I've noticed it real bad in the last few videos, Sounds like a hydraulic pump? Doesn't sound too good
ya, I've noticed that too. its mainly my camera but there is some oil coming out the breather on the transmission reservoir

thats interesting I've never really studied the shank themselves
I would love to find help like you.
Questions regarding how do you know what gear should you be in when pulling various equipment?
a lot depends on what your tractor can handle mixed with not going too fast to break equipment
