  • INS Visakhapatnam, commissioned on 21 November 2021, is the lead ship of P15B class of guided missile stealth destroyers of the #IndianNavy. With her predominantly indigenous weapon-sensor-machinery fit, the ship symbolises the maturing of India's shipbuilding capability and quest for #Aatmanirbharta. Her state-of-the-art weapon-sensor suite, coupled with a substantial endurance at sea and advanced network-centric capabilities, make her a potent command platform that can bring to bear very significant offensive and defensive capability. Armed with advanced surface-to-surface supersonic missiles, surface-to-air missiles, medium and close-range guns, heavy weight torpedoes and anti-submarine rockets, the ship is well-equipped and packs a formidable punch for multi-dimensional warfare. Her crew abides by her motto 'Yasho Labhasva' - a Sanskrit phrase that translates to 'Attain Glory'. It symbolises an indomitable spirit to pursue excellence and success in every endeavour. The motto inspires her crew to surmount all odds and bring glory to the ship, service and nation always. The logo of the ship depicts the bust of a blackbuck. The stout horns, remarkable alertness and swiftness of the blackbuck closely resonate with the intent, capabilities and essence of this powerful destroyer and her stalwart crew. May this fine ship remain vigilant, valiant and victorious always! Here is a short visual introduction to INS Visakhapatnam. #MakeinIndia #HarKaamDeshKeNaam
