  • Today on the 8 Night Easter Cruise on Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas, we visit and have our plans interrupted by Blue Bottles and Jelly Fish.
Blue Bottles are siphonophores, a type of of Jellyfish. The most common type in Australia is known scientifically as Physalia utriculus.
Whilst not an every one will experience dramatic symptoms, anaphylactic shock - a severe allergic reaction, is not uncommon.
After some relaxation on the other side of the island and abandoning the snorkelling plans, the boys chilled out with some fresh coconut đŸ„„đŸŒŽ before we headed back to the ship where Deb got her boogie on.

Can't believe I'd ran into you guys just after taking my daughter snorkeling on the side of the island away from the ship. We really must have got lucky not to have been stung as I didn't even know they were around until you had told me. Now after watching this, there must have been plenty in the waters.

Crazy right? Couldn't believe how many there were along the beach that day.
