Hi Carl! Its across the org - all birth years are considered. I make several heat maps based on rankings across the birth years as well. Inherently I do need to make judgement calls based on intangibles like reputation and what I hear about the changing of teams in late summer. Figuring out which teams will be better this season than the last (especially once the players turn 14-18) is really tough. How's Minnesota?! Weird that we just left right when you arrived. Its not you - its me. ;)

Yep! Canada takes me much more time to research since Im a USA Hockey guy. But I work with a few folks who know Canada Hockey very well! Buts yes its being worked on!

Wow only one MN team? We're still the state of hockey and I get that we offer a wide range of levels throughout youth hockey. Also we have high level HS teams but only 1 tier AAA program out of 100!? 🤯Give me a break, we've got a few more than that.🤔 I'm going to guess that you're based on the east coast?
MN doesnt have many AAA teams and they also start at a later age than all the other teams as the foundation system in MN is so much better. So for MN to really even be on the list is actually really good.
Northstar Christian Academy (#38 on this list) is another MN team

I play in Canada for one of the lowest aaa teams and we beat the Arizona bobcats AAA the final scre was 5 - 0

Cp dynamo should be higher my team played them and we got crushed. and we were an average AAA team. There one of the strongest teams imo at my age.

Not Woodbridge definitely PAL and devils youth and palmyra black knights
They said AAA teams. Woodbridge Wolfpack only has two teams that won an AAA division in USPHL. The 2006 and 2011 teams won in 2021 and the 2011 team repeated and won in 2022. The bulk of the players on both of those teams have since left Wolfpack and now play elsewhere. Their new 2011 team will be lucky if they crack the top 50 this year.
@@traciecrawley952 2010 team is good and the 2009 team is prolly gonna turn some heads this year after a bad season last year. They got a lot better
You gotta remove the Jr. Reign from this list. Their AAA program is a complete joke. I had two boys in that program and had to get them out for the sake of their mental health. That's not a joke or an exaggeration. USA Hockey will give them AAA status because they're an ADR darling--for some reason--but when you see 10U kids who are (generously speaking) BB or maybe A level out in practices for the 14U AAA to 18U AAA week after week after week, then you can see how incredibly worthless that program is. (Also, you're lucky to get just 1 team practice per week--it's not unusual to go about a month or so without a team practice.) It's a terrible program. It makes players worse.

@@janavitzn Yeah, I brought both my sons over to different AAA programs and it was a world of difference. I know other kids who were with the Reign and have quit playing hockey--they were on the AA teams. Just ran into a mom I've known for a while who told me that her kid may never play again. He's 15 and he had been playing since he was 5 years old. That's what the Jr. Reign does to kids.
Glad to see your kids having a better time elsewhere, but I’m still sorry for the 15 year old you were talking about. I hope that something changes with the reign to make hockey less miserable there
