  • Welcome to Jason Does Things!
We took a road trip north to the Los Angeles area and I couldn't pass up an opportunity to check out the beaches there.
This and the following two episodes (episodes 6, 7 and 8) are from that road trip.
Today we hit Hermosa Beach on a beautiful but windy day and manage to find some interesting targets.
Hope you enjoy todays outing and as always, Happy Hunting!
    Gear used:
    Minelab Manticore with wireless headphones
Dune titanium sand scoop with carbon fiber travel shaft
    Gray Ghost finds pouch
GoPro Hero 9 with Media Mod

Nice score on the gold. Lesson learned on giving away matchbox cars. 😉

How close to the water on average would you say is needed to find anything?

Depends on the tides, the season, where the beach-goers have been etc. I try in between the average water line and the edge of the dry sand and if there aren't any targets I move into the dry sand. For instance, I've been focusing more on the dry sand lately, because thats where the targets have been
