- In this video, I will show you how to replace the propellers on DJI Mini 4 Pro, DJI Mini 3 Pro and the DJI mini 3. It's important to change propellers the correct way to avoid crashes and accidents in future flights. To switch propellers you just need a Philips screwdriver and the new set of propellers!

Hello I bought those screwdrivers you suggested but the head on the Philips one says #0 size and I thought the DJI screws were #0000 size. Are you sure these are the correct size?
It looks like something has changed since I added that link almost a year ago. I was initially linking to a lot bigger kit. I’ll double check that and will update the link accordingly. Thanks for pointing that out.

He covers the minor details that I believe are vitally important.
All the other guys just jump in at the deep end, which really isn't helpful for us novice drone pilots who are lucky enough to have the DJI Mini 3 Pro as our first real drone.

Just replaced all of the propellers yesterday without even thinking about it, glad I saw this video before trying to fly the drone again!
Yeah I tried to change my props myself with the screwdriver dji provided with the mini 3 Pro but I ended up stripping the screw. So before I did anymore damage I just took it to the dji store in Wynwood (Miami) and had the tech to change them for free! Check out my “shorts” to see my m3P

I have a DJI mini 2 se and with the exception of the stem that they now use on the motors to seat the props it's pretty much the same as with the DJI Mini 4 Pro / DJI Mini 3 Pro. I always change both props even if only one shows damage because (IMO) at the speed the props are turning, if one leading edge of a prop struck something it's safe to assume that the other also did, and even though it might not show any damage (yet) these things are to expensive to take the chance at hundreds of feet in the air. I also never mix props, I had to replace all the props the last time because I didn't have enough DJI brand props, so I used aftermarket and had to replace all of them. And always use the new screws that come with the props because they have the needed loctite on the and as for the screwdriver, I use a small (5") Phillips alloy #0 screwdriver and you can Torq the hell out of those screws and not strip them! and the last thing I never do is put my drone into the air without checking every prop screw! 🚁

Nice one for your video. Something so simple - I never would have known that some of he propellers have ridges and some don't. Goes to show I'm not looking into detail but thanks for your useful videos 👍🏽

Thanks again! I posted on another video of yours that you solidified my decision to buy a DJI Mini 3 drone, which I did yesterday. And of course I crashed it on my very first flight and busted the tip of one of the propellers. Just before I started to research how to replace the blade, or blades, this video shows up in my feed. Perfect timing.
I was super cautious so didn't crash until my 3rd......4th........and 5th flights. Lucky I only broke props

I bought a set of “Stealth” blades so I had to replace all eight of them. Was using the driver that came with the Mini 4 Pro, but it couldn’t get the last one out. Went to your link and ordered the Klein set that you linked. Thanks for the help

I wish I had seen this earlier! I damaged a prop on my Mini 2 by hitting a fence last week. I replaced the props without reading any instructions and ended up with the wrong ones fitted. When I tried to take off the drone kept turning over! I tried to launch it from my hand and it flipped over. I ended up with severe lacerations and bruising to both hands. I then decided to read the instructions and realised my mistake...!!! A lesson learned that day.

I'm looking for the exact screwdriver needed for the DJI MIni 4 Pro if you can help. It's my understanding the correct size is the Phillips Head #0000. Is that correct? Many thanks for your help.
The dji mini 4 pro screws are different to the mini 3 Pro, so dji recommend re using the original screws unless your replacing the complete set then you can use the ones that come in the packets ( Silly I know 🙄).
I tried stock DJI screw driver and the screw became "round" after a few attempts.. can't remove it now..😭

@Atomik I brought it to a pro shop, and they only used a larger medium-sized screw driver. They apply FORCE, and within 2 minutes, all 8 screws are removed.
Valuable advice: Throw away your DJI screwdriver and buy a good set of micro-screwdrivers. That thing costed me 2 stripped screws that I could only remove by cutting the whole propeller out!

That’s really good to know thanks. I put different props on my mini 3 pro and mid flight it lost control and fell to earth and when I it one of the props had broken off so I changed them with them and the 2 props across on the other arm with the original DJI props and then about a week later one of the other props broke and I was just over 3 kms away so now I have all DJI original props and haven’t had a problem. So now I will never use any of those other props you can buy online coz I do not trust them. Thanks for the vid 👍

@@MK-Creator hi mate cheers for replying, so basically I got the DJI mini 3 pro yesterday, and I recorded video of first flight , the video lasted over 6 mins from when I pressed record to when I stopped recording , but the video then saved as two separate videos in the app ,
So when trying to get the final full res piece onto my phone I had to download two separate videos , and since trying again to record video It does the same thing ? It seems it gets to 3min57secs before it then stops creating that file and starts creating a new one

One piece of advice could be: Don't unscrew the damaged prop before identifying the replacement prop.

Is it necessary to always use new screws or put theeadlocks to okd screws?
I would say it’s not necessarily with new screws. My guess is that DJI sends new screws just in case a screw came loose and that’s the reason you maybe lost a proper…? And then you would need a new screw also. And they just want to safeguard themselves.
Can you please test what happens with the Mini 3 Pro when you pull the left stick down during straight line RTH flight ?
