Just too good
Lightning strikes twice, Ruby! I finally found a way to watch the last two Oslo matches in full. Such fun! A completely different atmosphere from the rest of tennis & it's much quicker. This fast & furious format favors first strike tennis players like Ruby. He does well here which seems to set him up for the regular tour. Love the intervudes & the changes they've made since last season. Players should be able to press the card button themselves when they want to use it. It should be next to the umpire's chair which is closer. D Minor forgot that he already used his to go from 9 to 12. No matter, Ruby diminishes D Minor again for the third time in 2024. As was stated during the changeover, the Aussie has to redline just to say with Ruby & there was a dip in level during the 4th set (like AO).
I've heaped a ton of criticism on de minaur but hes clearly looked at his game and tried to work on the weaknesses, and its showing! Despite the loss if he keeps up the aggressive playstyle, this looks like a version of Alex that people can expect to see win big tournies
he is leaning nicely to his forehand at least in the beginning in these highlights
What would you say is he’s weakness?
@@yyhrva5605 he’s got crazy quick footspeed, but he wasn’t taking advantage of that to get in position early and look to attack, but would always react late and just make balls, with defensive footwork, or find himself out of position too often. Even when he did attack, would never get much spin on approach shots, leading to weaker angles and less easy points. Seemed he always wanted to ‘fight’ and ‘hustle’ his way into winning points rather than dominate them, which is why he never found consistent success against in form top players. Sorry for the ted talk lol
Rublo might've won the match but Demon won the highlight reel hands down
Congrats, Rublo! 🔥De Minaur does some things well, but overall he just can't sustain an elite level like Rublev can - as was proven here (x2), at the Paris Masters last yr & at Australian Open last month when a Rublev beat him💪🏽
That point at the end of the first quarter with the whole crowd involved just gave me goosebumps...I really do hope tennis evolves into crowd - friendly sport, it would make it so much more gladiatorial instead of the "gentlemens" idea
8:48 Bweh meets the Demon
Just After A Month Ago Since Australian Open Men’s Singles 4th Round.
2:05 THIS 😯
Andrey the Great. Alex maybe a different hair-cut will help + a new serve.......
Rublo was there for the win. De Minaur, for show reel
Wow
What's this tournament about?
Tennis
BS not recognised by atp tour. No points, so no reason to do it risking to get injuried, except for the shit load of money that they pay 😊 it's a useless tennis exhibition
Were they joking when de minaur was calling rublev dodgy?
Alex the retriever is now Alex the forcer
Strange format. Are they getting ATP points here?
No :) just the prize money
What was Alex talking about Rublev being dodgy?
was thinking the same, would have to watch the full to understand
Rublev took more time to serve than he needed when he was winning and time was short in the quarter (whoever has more points when time is up wins the quarter). I think it’s fair play and within the rules but tennis has unofficial gentleman rules-I don’t know what UTS gentleman rules are
@@ddandevil67 It's a time-based quarter, so i think the player who is ahead can waste time and have the quarter, not allowing the other to gain. Can understand why Demon thought it's dodgy. It's not real tennis rules anyway
@@ddandevil67 that's just one of the tactics no ? but yeah it seems dodgy at the same time. minour or anyone else would have probably done the same
Alex has no chance against Andrey 😂 poor boy
Good for Rublev, with his poor Grand Slam quarterfinal streak, at least he wins sthg here.
Still a million times much more successful than losers like you have ever been in their whole lives. Crucial, right? ☹️💔
