Our rental experience with Mad Moose Rentals in Hurricane Utah left us feeling like abused customers that were taken advantage of on our family vacation. They give you a lower price, and then add fees when they book you, plus rental tax. They should adjust the cost to include those fees, but they’d rather look cheaper than they are so as to draw you in. They then over charged us and had to later refund us after I pointed it out. Then when a tire was damaged on rocks on the trails, they charged us $385 to replace the tire. The tire they charged us for as a replacement was $305, whereas the actual tire is only a $170 tire. Then $60 to change the one tire, plus another $20 for taxes on top of the tire and maintenance costs. I argued it was price gauging. I tried to seek a compromise. Nothing, they would not budge. When you sign the agreement for them to be able to charge you for damages, know that you have no say or control. Make sure you document everything, especially with photos, if you choose to take your chances. But my suggestion is to not become a statistic. Go somewhere else!
