You should look into purchasing a whole beef from a farm. They package up the different cuts and just put it in a deep freeze. This is a lot more economical than buying beef at the store

Look at “our tribe on many”. They just bought a 1200# cow and it evened out at $3.00/lb.
We did this recently! We just purchased a quarter because thats what will fit in a regular freezer on a side by side fridge but it’s been incredible. We won’t ever do it any differently now. And the quality just so exceeds anything we have purchased from the grocery store

He is seriously my favorite! “We could go with a meat or we could go with a hash brown!”
Growing up we were a family of 10.
We were 7 siblings, my parents and my grandfather.
My mother did all the shopping and cooking and my father worked 12 - 14 hrs a day 5 days a week and when he was home he would work on his garden so that we would always have fresh fruits and vegetables.
Never had meal planning sessions we only ate what was in season and being of Italian descent we basically had a Mediterranean diet. Very little meat just enough for the proteins.
Did a lot of canning for the long northern winter months.
I remember we had 7 apple trees , pear, prune and apricot trees. Grape vines for eating , and just about every other vegetables and fruits that would grow in with our short growing season.
We were poor but never knew it.

SUPER EASY fast recipe; (double or triple for ur family) ... stew meat, can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix & 1/2 can/ cup red wine. Throw in crock pot all day, serve over potatoes or egg noodles, or rice. DELISH! (Though it looks like Alpo, as my husband affectionately calls it, but loves it!)

I am not huge on grocery hauls, I do however love videos with menu planning and meal ideas. I have a family of 6. Meal planning is essential. We also do at least 4 vegetarian dinners a week. Hilarious. My husband does not help with meal planning. Oh my gosh. He however, is totally fine with meatless dinners. Lots of alternative protein sources out there.

Y’all can also get about 3 Instant pots and it will be a game changer! Put some beans in one, some curry chicken in another, soup in another. Or pulled pork in one, whole chicken in one, some cabbage in another. So many options.
Since you have a garden and huge family pasta salads and just cut veggies in fridge will help to grab healthy snacks. I always Keep cut cucumber and celery they can grab with hummus.

This was fantastic 😂 Thank you for showing a side of marriage that after the fact is funny, but, in the moment, it can be so hard. It was very encouraging to see another couple having that conversation when one of goofing off and the other is annoyed and trying to keep everyone focused. I have these moments so often, and it’s nice to know I’m not alone and that life moves forward and we can be different yet a team. Love you and your husband’s sense of humor and authenticity.

For a meatless meal, we'll also do a salad and baked potato or baked sweet potato night. We load our salads up with veggies, hard boiled egg, hemp hearts (great source of protein), and I can sneak in some nutritional yeast too. The whole family enjoys it. It's pretty simple but filling.
Loved watching this video. Seeing the dynamic between you two is fun, but also living in Europe and being able to see what people can buy at grocery stores oversees is lovely. Thank you :)
Christopher without a hat........ HE HAS HAIR! I love the humor! He kept interrupting you just to get a reaction! The difference between you two on food likes and yet you still compromise well. I like how you create meal plans and not become a diner cook for the kids. Some parents allow their children to make them buy or create each child a different meal.
I liiiiive for my crockpot meals, also this is my favorite type of video to watch!! Start the crockpot at noon when I get the baby down for a nap and they're ready by the time hubby gets home! Everything sounds good- the pepperoni pasta I make is baked spaghetti with a ton of cheese and pepperoni on top. So good!

This was fun for me, thank you. I am a meal plan junkie! I do our family meal plan always, two ways. I do a "basic plan" for the month , then fine tune every week. Sample this : Monday- Salad Tuesday-Tex/mex Wednesday-Pasta Thursday Burgers Friday-seafood Saturday-sheet pan Sunday-Flat Bread. Once I have the basic monthly plan I fine tune it weekly. Monday- cobb salad with loads of toppings including cheese and hard boiled egg. Tuesday- chicken fajita again loaded with toppings less meat , avocado sour cream...Wednesday- Cold make ahead pasta salad Thursday-Brunch Burgers with bacon and eggs, Friday Sword fish kabobs with olives. Saturday Roasted veggies and drum sticks Sunday: Flat breads /home made pizza's This week is veggie with roasted veggies and Buffalo chicken. The day you do your Cosco haul you should consider rotisserie Chickens and another great affordable lunch/dinner is Loaded Baked Potato Bar with fixings, kids LOVE THIS and husbands can load it with proteins lol.

It’s very difficult when you have a health scare involving your child.
My eldest daughter was very sick from 3 months to 5 years. We were constantly on edge waiting for the next emergency. So I definitely understand how you were feeling.

This had me cracking up- especially Angela’s faces😅 sounds good- we plan a weeks worth at a time usually and always have Mexican tuesdays, brinner wednesdays and pizza Friday nights. Then usually throw in some type of stirfry or ramen, and then the others are whatever else we come up with. Definitely keeps it easier to manage with kids and I find they love being able to expect certain things a couple of times a week. They always look forward to those meals🙂

What I like about these type of videos is seeing meal ideas. From your other videos you guys seem to always have tasty sounding food I have never made before. also I have noticed these big family meal videos are really popular right now so since y’all have what is considered a large family to most I can see why it’s being requested. Personally I don’t care for just grocery hauls videos as much.
