I had a 11fk csmp lite and it had everything a big camper does and it was 100% alunimum, even the frame. I like this because it's overall lower height but the one thing that's a deal breaker is the inability to put a Porta pottie in it with the bed down. A must for my wife

    That looks pretty slick.
I'd only caution you to ensure that its always sealed well on the outside. I worked on RV's for 20 years, and there's nothing sadder than seeing how quickly an RV can get ruined by water leaking in.
I wouldn't get on the roof w/o putting plywood to walk on, especially if the roof is flat. If you put a low spot on the roof where water can puddle, it'll eventually find a way to leak in, even if its a solid roof panel.
I don't tell you this to be a 'downer', but because I loved working in the industry to help people enjoy their leisure time with ease.

I haven't covered all 289 comments so my apologies if it has already been mentioned. You mentioned using the Jacks to level the camper. Those are not leveling jacks even for a camper this small. Use your axle before you unhitch to level left and right. Then level front-to-back after you unhitch. The Jacks Are For stabilization only. Great video!

Excellent walk thru. I appreciate you taking the time to show this to us. I checked one out yesterday at our local dealer. At first I was a little disappointed at the size. But almost in the same breath, I'm totally intimidated by larger units. Can't have it both ways. But since I'm moving up from a tent, and don't want a popup because I'm over 60 and don't want all that setup, this looks like a viable contender. Best of luck in remodeling. Just subscribed.

I have a tent kampa dometic hayling 4 air classic, that can be installed in 10 min, with an air compressor. I plan to buy a sunray 109hd and i was also looking at the geo pro 12 srk and the jayco 12 srq. The sunray has water gas heating, heating cabin and fridge two ways gas electric. It is a bit smaller than the jayco. But cannot find a jayco with ac, propane electric fridge and propane heater inside. The tent give us also a dining room, 2 rooms for storage and porta potti and one relax area with sun shade. I thought it is a good complement. I will install a powerful electric solar system to run the AC and microwave if necessary with 300w and 3000w inverter and 2x battery 12v 100a for 2400wh. The AC is only 5000 btu so it should be enough and all other things works with propane in the sunray. The geo pro has the production suspended. Only the jayco and sunray are available. I wish to have the bigger room of the jayco with the amenities of the sunray.

This is ideal! Great video! You did a very thorough video so that we see all the features. In my opinion this would be a great first RV for those getting into camping without having to have like a bathroom and bunks. A great single or couples RV. that hose on the side is great for outside showers and you can do the portable shower stall outside for privacy and put that portable toilet in there too.

This camper is adorable but at the end of the day I think I'm at the point that for the money converting a enclosed trailer to a tiny camper is the way to go for customization and being able to have everything people want and need

    • @jimihendrix8535
      @jimihendrix8535 Před měsícem

I have looked at both. The number 1 reason for me to go with something like this trailer vs a cargo trailer is that it is not as tall and does not have the wind resistance pulling it like a cargo trailer has. A cargo trailer (even a small one) is a mpg killer. The idea of this trailer is that it is one step up from a tent (minimalist). Once you can stand up in something, mpg suffers.

Nice, practical and convenient little rig.
    1. Regarding the rack and table you may consider looking at the Rockwood Mini Lites. All come with what you described. If you like the metal material and the size, of the track bar and table, you may order it from Rockwood.
    2. If it was my rig, I would add a roof and the biggest cargo box I can fit. I'm not a good angler by any means but I have a big Thule cargo box on top of my SUV and I carry among many other things; 10 fishing poles for me and my son, two lure bags and other fishing gear, 4 big camping chairs, and more. I guess it is 22 CuFt of cargo space.
Things that don't rot and you use constantly can be kept permanently on the cargo box. Mine open from both sides also.
    3. Regarding cabinets in the kitchen, I watched a bunch of vanlife videos, and there is a modular system they install like a track bar on the wall. Then they hang modular canvas cabinets were they can select different sizes and how many of them they want. It is lightweight and you can arrange, put on and take off the cabinets as you want. Don't remember the brand though.

Man they went nuts with applying the sealant to to solar adapter and vent. They could've masked off the area and sandwiched the sealant between the components and the surface and run a plastic spoon around it to form an aerodynamic seal. Other than that, they did pretty good with this unit.

If you don't have one pick yourself up one Honda EU2000i portable generator. Small and light and can power most of what you have in your camper. Add a second unit and run them in parallel and you can power your entire camper no problem. I have two that I now use at home in case of a problem and we lose power but I originally purchased them to use with my Aliner pop up trailer.

Feels similar to the Winnebago Hike except the hike has a wet bath.

Upon your suggestion for suggestions as a ham radio guy I can’t help myself but to say that would be a great mobile for voice and digital communications via ham radio.

As long as you maintain the sealant, it would be no worse than the other things already mounted up there.

Hey TJ. Just came across your video. Really like the trailer and I was wondering if you found the Batwing awning for the camper and which one did you get?

Its small, simple, light and easy to tow. I wouldnt mind having this. The only thing id wish i had was a bathroom and shower

you can put a cassette potty in the under bed space and set up a shower cabana with a marine shower.

Then it would be much less small, simple, light, and easy to tow. ;0)

Lookin at this one but I’m looking at a 16 footer with a shower and kitchen inside it but this one is so much smaller more ideal.

Leave the black stone where it is; Lift up a cabinet at level to the black stone and use as a utensil drawer.. and set your frig on top. and any cabinets in remaining room.. Wondering about any sink area; Perhaps can go where you planned to move the black stone stove. Question can the Blackstone stove be used as regular burners. I like ideal about roof top kayak or tent. Awning idea with perhaps a possible closure to it.. and a built in pop into shower/ toilet area.. with pull into shower sprayer..

Foxtail awning or a rooftop waterslide are my suggestions.
