In my pre-transition phase I am struggling with my mom having a very hard time accepting my discovery saying I didn't present with signs till about 8 months ago. I am in my early 40s realizing I am not comfortable with the person I have been trying to always understand and define. I have had several other very close friends react to it more positively and to my terrifying surprise they said they always knew I was female. Or that thinking these things made sense. One very special confidant really surprised me. She allows me to be my true self still have to in secret not on HRT yet but trying to file through am enormous waiting list for a gender identity clinic so but she gave me extra make up a couple clothing items. Eight months ago I bought a wig and bikinis to really see my feminine side. Recently I am building my feminine wardrobe over time. I've painted my toes done the annoying shaving but I have amazed at the fact I haven't felt this comfortable in forever it seems. I have no official support groups I need to connect with other trans women to really get the perspective that I only feel any who have progressed on the most courageous and important journey a human being could ever endure I feel people like yourself will be the very best source of info. I am terrified of acceptance yet I am grateful the world is a little more accepting of transgender today compared to in the past. I hope the human race can be compassionate and sensitive and supportive of our quest to become our true selves. Any suggestions regarding my mom and how to help her accept it. I am their only son and I can appreciate why they're concerned. I have to do something my time isn't unlimited anyway thank u for letting me share

Yes the way is tough, but nowadays the whole world has to achieve its transition, so you are plainly fit to understand it better than those who would better like to go on as if nothing had to be done. Chloe Kopsho I can’t really answer that question. Are you under the care of a doctor who is knowledgeable in HRT? Mine started me on low dosages for the first few months to make sure my body would handle it okay, because there are some scary potential side effects. I’m so glad that you are on the road to finally being yourself! I wish you all the love and luck!

Rebmetpes4 well, transgender people identify as the gender opposite the sex they were assigned at birth. If you don’t identify as being that way then you wouldn’t technically be trans. I suggest speaking with a therapist that is proficient in these issues. They can help you with some self exploration that could possibly clear some things up for you either way :)
